WWE Plans To Launch Bron Breakker Era At NXT Halloween Havoc [Report]

Tuesday night is a big night for NXT for a few reasons. First, it's the annual presentation of Halloween Havoc but the first under the new umbrella of NXT 2.0. Second, this is potentially a big evening for a young star who many believe will be the face of the brand and eventually one of the faces of the entire company.
Bron Breakker is taking on Tomasso Ciampa in a match for the NXT Championship. Despite very little time on the NXT brand, there's a feeling that Breakker is the next breakout star and that he could be walking away from the event as the new champion.
Popular Twitter account @WrestleVotes writes, "Source states that tonight’s Halloween Havoc looks to be the launching of the Bron Breakker era in NXT. At the same time, Tommaso Ciampa’s run in NXT could be winding down. As evident, the youth movement within 2.0 continues." This doesn't definitively mean that Breakker will win the championship, as it could signal the fact WWE's plan is to eventually give him the title. At the same time, there's buzz that this show will be the initial push as part of a much larger shove to cement Breakker as the new face of NXT.
Breakker (Bronson Rechsteiner) has already been pushed as a top star since the NXT 2.0 rebrand came into effect. He debuted in September and is battling for the title in October. It's rare that WWE pushes someone so green so quickly unless they see huge potential and the "it" factor, all of which Breakker absolutely has. At the same time, Ciampa is being viewed as a bit of placeholder champion, most useful in helping usher the new era of WWE Superstars in.
Too Much, Too Soon?
If Breakker does win tonight, it will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts. Is this too much for someone who hasn't yet proven himself? Or, is Breakker the next Kurt Angle and picked up this business so fast that it makes little sense to keep the title off of him? Is he a marketable enough talent to build the NXT brand around? If the reports are accurate, we're about to find out.
