WWE apparently planned on having a number of celebrities take part in SummerSlam this weekend. It's been reported that they attempted to get Mike Tyson involved in the show; the boxer didn't take them up on the offer for unknown reasons.
Fightful Select is also reporting the company also wanted to have hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion involved too, with claims a spot with Bianca Belair was in the making before plans fell through (H/T Givemesport.com).

It's understood WWE thought they had a deal in place but was told the spot would not be happening next week.
"In addition to that, Fightful learned that Megan Thee Stallion was also planned for a spot involving Bianca Belair for Summerslam," Fightful states. "However, WWE sources indicated they WWE thought it was a done deal, but were informed last weekend it wouldn't be happening. We weren't given a reason why, and we've reached out to Megan Thee Stallion for comment."
As indicated above, there's no word on why WWE wasn't able to secure the sport from Megan, there's also no word on why they couldn't get Tyson.
The promotion posted photos of Belair and Megan together at the Lollapalooza festival earlier this month so it appeared the seeds were already being sown. However, it looks like the spot won't be part of the show.

Meanwhile, it's also noted that the company wanted to get Cardi B to be a guest host. The female rapper was part of the plans until she announced her pregnancy.
"As far back as the spring, Fightful learned that WWE had hoped that Cardi B would host or be involved with Summerslam, even using one of her songs as the theme for the show," said outlet reports. "However, her pregnancy effectively put an end to that, according to WWE sources."
Despite things not working on the celebrity front, SummerSlam is still expected to be a very successful PPV. The show will air from the Allegiant Stadium in las Vegas this Saturday from 8:00 pm ET, with a kickoff show an hour before.
