Nia Jax has returned to the WWE as a member of the Raw women's roster. While her return earlier this year at the Royal Rumble appeared to be a one-off, that wasn't the case. The former champion is back on the warpath and has recently targeted Rhea Ripley and others.

Naturally, the return of Nia Jax is very controversial considering her previous stint in WWE. While there are a lot of bad things that one can say about her return, there are also a few bright spots. With that being said, here are the pros and cons of WWE's re-signing of Jax.

10 Right Call: Brings Attention

Like it or not, Nia Jax is automatically one of Raw's biggest stars on the women's side of things. For months now, Rhea Ripley has been forced to have mediocre matches with the likes of Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya, and more.

Fans have cared about Ripley, but the rest of the division isn't really moving much. Jax is a big name that instantly provides a boost to the whole women's roster on Raw. Seriously, when was the last time they had this much attention?

9 Mistake: Takes Away Opportunities

While Nia Jax is a big name that will provide a boost to the WWE's women's roster, that's because she was allowed opportunities to flourish and thrive. In case you haven't noticed, a lot of women over on Raw haven't been allowed that chance.

Furthermore, given Jax's return, they likely will have to wait quite a bit for that shot. It also doesn't help matters that she's returning right around the same time that the WWE cut and released several women.

8 Right Call: Can Be Used Correctly

While a lot of fans instantly were outraged at the return of Nia Jax, that's because they only remember the bad. That's fair, as her WWE stint did end pretty poorly. That being said, she can be used well, and that's been shown.

If Jax's first feud back from return is booked well, that will likely change a lot of fans' minds on her future. Obviously, it's a big if, but if Triple H books her well, that will help a lot of the problem.

7 Mistake: Hasn't Improved

Nia Jax returns to WWE

There are wrestlers who leave the WWE and completely transform themselves. Examples such as Matt Cardona, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, and more, absolutely improved and showed their worth in the indies after being released.

Meanwhile, Jax did basically nothing but podcasts for the two years she was away from the WWE. It's hard to imagine that she became a significantly better wrestler in that timeframe.

6 Right Call: Great Heat

Fans really love to hate Nia Jax. For better or for worse, she's likely among the most hated members of the WWE roster straight after her signing. While likely not entirely the reception the WWE was expecting, they can use it to their advantage.

Jax is getting great heat online, and at live events right now. It's never a bad thing to get your fans heavily invested, and that's exactly what the WWE has done with her here.

5 Mistake: Heat Won't Last

Nia Jax has a lot of heat right now, and her return is a short-term boost to the company. But that being said, that heat likely won't last. Unfortunately, a lot of fans have an extreme hate for Jax, and would rather just turn off the TV than watch her long-term.

That's one of the reasons why she was originally released from the WWE to begin with. Fans didn't really care about her, and it's hard to see that changing this time around.

4 Right Call: Credible Title Challenger

As previously stated, Rhea Ripley hasn't really had a great title defense since winning the title earlier this year. She's faced Zelina Vega, Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez, and a few others. Admittedly, none of those names ever posed much of a challenge to Ripley's reign.

However, Jax is a multiple-time world champion, a former tag team titleholder, and more. While a lot of fans won't want to see it, many are likely questioning if she'll hold the title at some point. That sort of doubt is what Ripley's title reign has needed.

3 Mistake: Personality Issues

Just to be clear, Nia Jax has many friends in the wrestling industry. There are many who have come forward whenever she's been involved in controversy to praise her and her personality. However, she's had issues with a lot of top talent as well.

Notably, she famously got into a full-blown fight with Charlotte on an episode of Raw a few years ago. While that was a bad moment, that's far from the first time that Jax has found herself in drama.

2 Right Call: Can Be Used in Many Roles

Fans might not like the fact that Nia Jax has instantly returned, and is in the world title scene. The good news is though, she likely won't win the championship. Furthermore, she can easily leave the world title scene at any moment.

To her credit, Jax has proved to be solid in many different roles. She can be the babyface, monster heel, champion, world title challenger, or even in a tag team, and appear credible.

1 Mistake: Unsafe Worker

Nia Jax Vs Kairi Sane

Let's just end it with the obvious. Since the first year that Nia Jax has been on WWE television, there have been discussions about the fact that she's an unsafe worker. While many have defended her, the facts don't lie.

Jax famously injured Becky Lynch, Kairi Sane, Zelina Vega, and more in high-profile matches. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, it's not exactly like she's worked to fix those issues either.
