WWE Has A History Of Controversial Firings
While WWE, like any other employer, has the full right to terminate the contract of one of its employees or talents, there has been an odd trend of sudden firings by the company in the last few years that has many fans questioning their decisions. For instance, WWE got major heat from fans in the pandemic when they released several wrestlers due to budget cuts. These wrestlers spanned from new talent who had just entered the company to well established wrestlers. 2020 saw WWE release stars like Rusev, The Revival, Zelina Vega, Kurt Angle, and Kairi Sane among others, and in 2021, the company let go major stars including Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Nia Jax, The IIconics, Samoa Joe, and even Bray Wyatt.

But Mandy's success post WWE is showing a new trend that is in benefit of all wrestlers.
Getting Fired From WWE Is Not The End Of A Wrestler's Career
Mandy Rose's staggering earnings as an independent content creator shows just one more avenue wrestlers can make money in if they get released by WWE. Some of these wrestlers have been rehired by WWE under Triple H's creative control. However, with WWE's competition in AEW, NJPW, and IMPACT increasing daily, wrestlers have other spaces to perform in. Many former WWE stars have found immense success in these companies from Samoa Joe, Cesaro, to even Paige, who all wrestle in AEW now under new characters.
Just like Mandy Rose, Lana also has a site for her exclusive paid content where she seems to be doing very well. The kind of star power that WWE gives its wrestlers can be now used in many different ways. From independent content generation, acting in movies and TV, to wrestling for rival companies, wrestlers have a plethora of options available now for an alternate career.
