Sometimes WWE can be criticized for not giving wrestlers a long time to compete in the ring, particularly during episodes of Raw and SmackDown. However, the roster is incredibly gifted and the longer they get to wrestle the more they tend to thrive as performers as they can tell a great story.

While a few wrestlers have put together long stints for Royal Rumble's, when it comes to standard matches many of the roster members have had very long matches in the past. Whether it was with WWE or during their time outside the company, some of the WWE Superstars have been through very long stints, according to ProFightdb.com.
10 Sami Zayn - 80:33 (Vs. The Briscoes, Michael Elgin, & Roderick Strong)
Sami Zayn has been one of WWE's key players in recent times, and he has been a consistent performer throughout his entire career. While he might be able to showcase great comedy or drama in his acting, Zayn has always been able to hang inside the ring, which was very clear pre-WWE as well.
When working under the El Generico name he was able to wrestle for just over 80 minutes as part of an eight-man tag for Ring Of Honor where he competed against The Briscoes, Michael Elgin, and Roderick Strong.
9 Edge - 44:46 (Vs. Randy Orton)
Edge's storyline against Randy Orton after his return from retirement brought several very lengthy matches with it, but the longest of them all took place at Backlash. This match was dubbed the 'greatest wrestling match ever' and that certainly put plenty of pressure on them from the start, which led to them taking a long time to tell their story.

They competed for over 40 minutes without a full crowd due to COVID-19, which led to an interesting atmosphere. It ended up being an enjoyable match, but Edge's performance did lead to him suffering an injury.
8 Seth Rollins - 65:00 (WWE Raw Gauntlet Match)
Seth Rollins is an elite-level performer, and he is someone who has incredible cardio which allows him to tell great stories inside the ring. This is particularly true when he gets a lot of time, which was the case during a gauntlet match on Monday Night Raw in 2018 which ended up being the longest match in WWE history.
While Rollins wasn't in the entire match, he did perform for over an hour and truly carried the encounter with an unforgettable performance. His elimination led to him getting a standing ovation in the moment, with the WWE Universe clearly being impressed by his efforts.
7 Akira Tozawa - 71:53 (14-Man Tag Team Match)
For the majority of his WWE career, Akira Tozawa has been shown as a comedic athlete, rarely getting to wrestle at all outside of putting other people. However, Tozawa is an excellent hard-hitting star which is something he got to truly showcase before joining WWE.
He was involved in a 14-man tag team match for over 71 minutes during his time with Dragon Gate in 2012. It was an impressive match that highlighted a lot of different wrestlers, with Tozawa getting plenty of time in the spotlight.
6 Dolph Ziggler - 43:07 (Traditional Survivor Series Match)
Dolph Ziggler is a tremendous professional wrestler and one of the greatest sellers of all time, and that is something that he was able to truly tap into at Survivor Series in 2014. The Authority was taking on Team John Cena in this match, and it was Ziggler who ended up being the sole survivor here.

Because of that, he was able to spend the most of the time inside the ring, and it allowed Ziggler to put together a fantastic performance. He showcased his selling qualities and had the fans buying into everything he did, which was then enhanced when Sting made his debut in the company straight after.
5 Cody Rhodes - 37:08 (Vs. Kenny Omega)
Cody Rhodes loves to tell stories inside the ring, which is an art that he tends to do better than most people. Time always helps with that skill, and at ROH Supercard Of Honor in 2018 he was given more than he ever has in his entire career as he faced Kenny Omega.
The two men had an exciting storyline at that point which spun across ROH and NJPW, and getting a lot of time to tell their in-ring story was something that worked well.
4 Cameron Grimes - 60:00 (Vs. ACH)
Cameron Grimes has been given limited opportunities throughout his WWE career, particularly on the main roster, but he is a talent inside the ring. Grimes can bring a level of natural aggression that few people can match, and that makes him so exciting to watch.
His longest match to date was against former WWE Superstar ACH at an AAW show. It ended due to it being a time-limit draw, which is something that created plenty of natural excitement at the moment.
3 Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa - 60:00 (Fatal Four Way)
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are fantastic wrestlers who have proven their abilities over the years. They have been great opponents and even better partners, having shared the ring together many times in some lengthy matches.
However, the longest encounter they had also happened to feature Finn Balor and Adam Cole in a fatal four-way match. It was an Iron Man stipulation that ended up finishing as a draw between them all.
2 Shinsuke Nakamura - 65:14 (10-Man Tag Team Match)
Shinsuke Nakamura is an amazing professional wrestler with his hard-hitting approach to the business being something that has always gotten over, particularly during his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He was a featured star for the company and that allowed him a lot of time to showcase what he was capable of.

His longest match for the company, and his career was at New Year Gold in 2005 when he was still making his name in the industry. It was a 10-man tag team match, and while he wasn't inside the ring at all times, Nakamura was able to get a spotlight.
1 Brock Lesnar - 60:00 (Vs. Kurt Angle)
Brock Lesnar is someone who typically works very short matches where his explosive nature allows him to dominate his opponents. The Beast is rarely in the ring for a long time and that is something that fans have come to expect. However, during his original run with the company he did compete for an hour against Kurt Angle.
It's one of the greatest matches of Lesnar's career as he and Angle went back and forth in an amazing iron man match. The two had fantastic chemistry, keeping fans hooked from minute one to the end, with Lesnar showcasing just how gifted he is.
