Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry was involved in a car crash on an Oakland highway on Friday morning.

Fortunately, no one got hurt in the accident, but the player's Porsche was badly damaged.

According to a California Highway Patrol spokesman, per ABC7News, Curry's car was hit when another vehicle spun out of control. He was then hit again in the rear by a second car.

"Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was involved in a three-car crash just before 9 a.m. on westbound Highway 24 on the Oakland side of the Caldecott Tunnel.

"A California Highway Patrol spokesman said Curry was hit twice; first, a car spun out and hit him, then a second car rear-ended him. Curry's Porsche was damaged. But everyone, including Curry, appears to be okay.

"The CHP says weather likely played a role."

Curry has been out with a groin injury since November 8, a problem he developed in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, and hasn't played since.

He was not scheduled to play against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. And, while he has made significant progress, the Warriors haven't yet announced a date for his return.

Basketball aside, that Curry, as well as everyone else involved, wasn't hurt comes as very good news as things could have been a lot worse.

It must have been quite a scary experience for the player, and his family and teammates will be very relieved to have him back in one piece following what might have otherwise been a very serious and potentially fatal collision.

There could be a positive spin on this, apart from Curry emerging unscathed, as Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and the rest of the team could bond again under the realization that things could change for the worse at any moment.
