Tyson Fury Retires From Boxing

Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from boxing again.Only three days after saying he was returning to the boxing ring, Fury, who turned 34 on Friday, declared his retirement in a statement via social media.Related: Drew McIntyre Sounds Off On Tyson Fury's Possible Involvement In WWE UK Event“Massive thanks to everyone who had an input in my career over the years & after long hard conversations (I’ve) finally decided to walk away & on my 34th birthday I say bon voyage,” he wrote.Fury teased retirement from boxing following his April fight with Dillian Whyte at London's Wembley Stadium. After knocking out Whyte in the sixth round on April 23, Fury declared, "I think this is it." He announced his return to the sport on Tuesday. To celebrate his comeback, he posted a video to Instagram in which he challenged Derek Chisora to a fight.According to Fury's video, Derek is trying to avoid the trilogy. “You’re running, Derek, from the trilogy,” Fury declared. “You call yourself war, you should call yourself chicken. I’ve decided to come back to boxing because I can be the first heavyweight world champion in history to have two trilogies. I’d always say I’d fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career.”
Fury had already beaten Chisora twice, and there was no agreement in place for a third fight between the two boxers when he made the social media post.
Tyson Fury To Return To WWE?
Fury is 32-0-1 in his professional career, with his lone draw coming in 2018 against Deontay Wilder. After defeating Wilder twice by knockout, Fury moved on to face Whyte.
Rumors of Fury possibly returning to WWE have been swirling for several weeks. WWE's Clash at the Castle event set for early September has been tipped as the show in which the former boxer could begin working with the promotion again.
