The Fiend "Heals" At WrestleMania As Alexa Bliss Goes Full Sister Abigail

The Fiend shed his burned shell to kick off WrestleMania as he prepared for battle with Randy Orton.
The shocking show closer that was Randy Orton burning The Fiend alive feels like a lifetime ago now. Somehow, the feud has continued for an additional four months, even though The Fiend has been absent for almost all of that time. Alexa Bliss has held down the fort at the Firefly Funhouse, and at Fastlane, a burned-up Fiend had recovered enough to take back the reigns.
Before making his way to the ring, The Fiend shed his burned outer shell and returned to the look he sported before he was set on fire. Bliss then freed him from a jack-in-the-box and the match could begin. The red light also returned, a choice that might not be all that popular with some fans.

The Fiend looked to have everything in hand, and then WWE threw a major curveball our way. Bliss reappeared on top of the box from which The Fiend had appeared to start the match. The Goddess had black liquid dripping down her face and the look in her eyes drew the attention of The Fiend. Orton then capitalized on the distraction, hit The Fiend with an RKO, and pinned him for the win.
Orton quickly left the ring as soon as the bell rang. A wise decision considering what was going on between Bliss and The Fiend. Once the defeated Superstar had recovered, he returned to his feet and stared at Bliss, almost as if he was asking why without actually saying it. The situation became creepier and more uncomfortable the longer the two of them just stared at each other.
The stadium then went black and when the lights came back up, Bliss and Fiend had gone and fans started to boo. Possibly because WrestleMania is a place to pay off angles and answer questions, not further them and raise even more. Nevertheless, the show has kicked off with a major twist, and that has to be a good thing. After all these years, fans may have finally got their first look at Sister Abigail.
