Street Profits' Angelo Dawkins Wants To Make WWE's Tag Titles Purple

WWE has experienced a title refresh like none to have come before it as of late. No fewer than four new championships have been introduced to the company over the course of the past few weeks. Partly so Raw actually has a World Champion moving forward, and also so we don't get a repaeat of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch's infamous title trade segments after the brand's champions were drafted to opposing shows.
Are We Getting New Tag Titles?
In typical WWE fashion, as the World and Women's Titles have been getting all the attention, the Tag Titles have largely gone unnoticed. A point of frustration for a lot of fans not only because their designs have gone unchanged for a very long time, but because those designs weren't that well liked in the first place.

To be fair, the Tag Title scene has been getting a big and deserved spotlight. Tag Title matches headlined night one of WrestleMania and Night of Champions. As for whether they will be getting new designs, while Street Profits' Angelo Dawkins has no idea if that will be the case, he does have ideas on how the belts should look if he and Montez Ford win them back.
Purple Tag Titles
Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Dawkins floated an idea where the two sets of Raw and SmackDown Tag Titles are merged to make purple ones. “The titles that we have still look good, red and blue, we might merge them together. Make it purple. We're going to introduce the purple gang. If they decide to change it, I'm all for it,” Dawkins said.
Red and blue do make purple after all, so if the titles are going to be merged, that logic adds up. WWE might still be avoiding introducing a purple championship into the mix since it wasn't all that long ago that the cruiserweight division and its title used that color. If I remember correctly, the logic applied to that was cruiserweights could appear on both shows, so maybe Dawkins is onto something.
