Some fans had the opportunity to meet Stone Cold Steve Austin in New Orleans last weekend and guess how much it cost them?

As big an event as WrestleMania itself is, in recent years it has become about so much more than the epic show that takes place on the Sunday night. There's the Raw and SmackDown Live that come in the two days after it, NXT TakeOver the night before, and of course, the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony the night before that. Really though, WWE's events are just the tip of the iceberg.

Nowadays, whatever city is hosting WrestleMania is effectively taken over by professional wrestling fans from all over the world plus the exorbitant amount of shows that they travel to see. Wrestling promotions from all over the world flocked to New Orleans last week to piggyback off of the success of WWE and WrestleMania and why not? It makes for a week of wrestling where there is literally more action than it is possible to see.

One of the highlights of the entire week is Wrestlecon, a convention akin to Comic-Con where fans can go and meet some of their favorite wrestlers. For the first time in Wrestlecon history this year, Stone Cold was at the event which was rightfully viewed as being a pretty big deal. It would have set you back a pretty penny if you wanted to meet The Texas Rattlesnake though.

You might be able to guess how much one of the main packages cost. $316, of course! For fans who forked out that iconic amount, they got to meet Austin before the convention opened, received three autographs from the WWE Hall Of Famer as well as a pro photo op, as detailed by Highspots at eventbrite.com. There were cheaper packages available for those who wanted to meet Austin but couldn't afford the $316 price tag.

If you had the money and you were in New Orleans last weekend, then it was probably worth the money to meet Stone Cold. By his own admission, he doesn't do many signings anymore and doesn't know when he'll be doing one again. On his podcast, he discussed having to sign hundreds of photos in preparation for his appearance and it sounded like an awful lot of work.
