The Celtic Warrior And The Game Go To War At WrestleMania

Triple H costing Sheamus the WWE Championship led to a rivalry between the two. It led to match at WrestleMania 26. Triple H said to Sheamus that it was “all or nothing” for him to face “The Game.” While future WWE Champions had defeated The Game at WrestleMania, such as Batista, Orton, and Cena, Triple H questioned if Sheamus had the ability to do the same. This match was a battle of the future versus the veteran. Although losing, Sheamus would get a rematch at Extreme Rules the following month. The match was hard-hitting and vicious, with Sheamus beating Triple H so badly that he did not compete in WWE for months afterwards.
