Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names to ever join the WWE women's division. She signed with the company after her MMA career fell flat. Since signing, she has won the WWE Raw Women's Championship, the Smackdown Women's Championship, and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Shayna Baszler recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Wrestling News Co. wherein she discussed the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships and Ronda Rousey's polarizing reputation. She explained that Ronda has been a polarizing figure ever since she met her, and credits it to misinformation.
It's been that way ever since I've known her, man. I don't know. I don't know. And it's funny too, because the few times --- it happened more in MMA as well. But the few times where I get on and I'm like, actually, that's not true. They're like, you're speaking as her friend, you're blind. And I'm like, Yeah, I know her better. But whatever. For whatever reason, people hate her. She's easy to hate. That's just something we're used to. I don't know. It's been that way for years. Yeah.
It's unclear what exactly Shayna Baszler is hinting at when she says "that's not true." It could be referring to a scandal Rousey found herself in almost a decade ago when she supported a conspiracy theory video about the tragic Sandy Hook shooting.
Some WWE fans feel as though Ronda Rousey has taken away opportunities from women in the company who have been working there for much longer, and were overlooked in favor of a big name.
Ronda Rousey reportedly asked to have a feud with Shayna Baszler before she makes her exit from WWE. She will apparently be departing from WWE within the next few months, which explains why Rousey and Baszler split up so abruptly.
