WWEhas reportedly internally removed Sasha Banks and Naomi from the company roster — nearly two months after they walked out of Raw.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that the former Women's Tag Team Champions "were removed from WWE's Internal roster over the last 24 hours." Johnson pointed out, however, that there is "no official indication they have been released." On the May 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, Michael Cole announced that the two were suspended indefinitely.

As previously noted, Banks and Naomi walked out of the May 16 edition of WWE Raw due to apparent unhappiness over the creative plans that night. In a statement, WWE.com claimed that the duo walked into John Laurinaitis' office and placed the Women's Tag Team Championships on his desk. According to WWE, the duo "claimed they weren't respected enough as tag team champions" before leaving.

Multiple reports have stated that Banks has been released by WWE, but this hasn't been confirmed by the five-time Raw Women's Champion or company officials. It has also been reported that Banks' attorneys have been working on getting her released from her contract. Apparently, WWE talents are unsure of Banks' status with the company.

Not only did Cole announce on the 5/20 SmackDown show that Banks and Naomi were suspended, but he also revealed that a tournament would take to determine the new Women's Tag Team Champions. But here we are two months later, and there hasn't been any update on that front.

WWE's Reported Plans For Banks & Naomi Before The Walkout

After the walkout, it was reported that WWE had planned a Six-Pack Challenge for the main event of the 5/16 Raw show to determine the new No. 1 contender for Bianca Belair's Raw Women's Championship. But WWE was forced to change up the plans, so they ultimately held a singles bout between Asuka and Becky Lynch to determine Belair's next challenger. The Empress of Tomorrow went on to win the match.
