As AEW's "All In" event looms large, it's shaping up to be a landmark moment in the company's history, with ticket sales flirting with an all-time wrestling record. As of a few days ago, the event only required 654 more ticket sales to break the attendance record held by Wrestlemania 32, underscoring its immense significance. As such, the idea of pulling out a few surprises and focusing on some memorable moments, especially in light of the fact the card is being viewed as largely underwhelming, might be something AEW is focused on.
Given the event's magnitude, it's only natural that AEW President Tony Khan would explore every avenue to create unforgettable moments. Among the rumored ones being considered, as per Dave Meltzer, is the appearance of Goldberg. Meltzer discussed the intriguing possibility on the McGuire on Wrestling podcast and he mused about the potential presence of Bill Goldberg, particularly in an angle with Wardlow. Meltzer remarked, "That's something different. I think Goldberg being there would be cool." However, he cautioned that the potential Goldberg-Wardlow matchup could be unconventional, as Wardlow's style and their desire to potentially have Wardlow win, may not align with a traditional Goldberg match.
Meltzer further analyzed the situation, stating, "Goldberg squashing someone for two minutes, I mean, that'd be cool. But Wardlow's not that guy." He suggested that another contender for such a spot could be Christian Cage, but Cage's involvement in the Chicago show complicates matters. Meltzer noted that while Goldberg's appearance at All In isn't confirmed, it's also not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

How Would This Go Over With AEW Fans?
Goldberg's potential inclusion, while only rumored at this point, raises eyebrows considering the evolution of AEW's roster since its inception in 2019. Goldberg's wrestling style and persona might not seamlessly align with the company's ethos and the kind of matches it has become known for. Long, athletic, and, technical matches are not his thing. Will fans overlook it and welcome him simply because he's such a massive name in the industry?
As the anticipation builds and "All In" approaches, fans are left speculating about the potential surprise appearances and memorable moments that AEW has in store. Whether Goldberg will grace the event's stage remains uncertain, but one thing is undeniable: AEW is poised to make history with an event that could change the course of wrestling entertainment.
