Jonathan Gresham believes he is the best professional wrestler in the world, and he wants to prove it by defeating legends like CM Punk and Bryan Danielson ... of course, now that Tony Khan owns Ring Of Honor, Gresham may get his wish.

Gresham, who added the Progress Wrestling World Championship to his belt collection on Sunday, March 20, reiterated his desire to take on the best of the best in a recent interview with WrestleTalk, during which the 34-year-old referred to himself as "the best in the world."

At the end of Final Battle, my goal was and still is to bring honor and prestige back to the Ring of Honor World Championship, and the only way for me to do that is to wrestle two men. To face CM Punk and Bryan Danielson,” said Gresham. “That’s the only way I’m going to be able to restore honor to the Ring of Honor World Championship."

Gresham's reign as ROH champ began when he defeated Jay Lethal last December at Final Battle, which was the promotion's last pay-per-view before it went on a hiatus. During the hiatus, All Elite Wrestling president Tony Khan purchased ROH (and its coveted tape library), meaning that the chances of Gresham being able to get in the ring with former ROH Champions Punk and Danielson.

"I’m waiting for those two matches and in time, those two matches will happen," Gresham promised. "But at the moment I have to fight and wrestle some of the best the world has to offer, so that’s what I’m doing. I asked for it and companies from all over the world have asked to host Ring of Honor World Title matches. So that’s what you’ve been seeing the last few months.”

Gresham will defend the ROH Championship against former champ Bandido on April 1 at Supercard of Honor XV -- ROH's first pay-per-view since December.
