Sandwiches are classic comfort food. Who doesn’t love a good sandwich, an easy and usually delicious meal? We say ‘usually’ because it really depends on what you stuff between the two pieces of bread. And some people do indeed have very unusual tastes. Of course, we’re not here to judge anyone, but Richard Petty surely got a lot of judgy eyes.
And it was all because of The King’s mighty sandwich choice.

The seven-time Cup Series Champion shared his ultimate sandwich on his Twitter account.
Indeed, a very fascinating sandwich, to say the very least. But hey, it’s a sandwich fit for a king!
Fans’ judgment wasn’t the only thing Petty got. Even food content creators and celebrities had some things to say.
You’re not wrong about that one, Candy Racing.

One fan even paid homage to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s favorite sandwich.
But of course, taste is subjective, and if the king likes the sandwich, then it’s a brilliant sandwich. Who knows? He might have had some Mayo and Pepper sandwiches as fuel to win over 200 races. Would you try this sandwich? Let us know in the comments.
