Ranking Kane’s Last 10 WrestleMania Matches

The Big Red Machine may not be at the peak of his powers anymore, but he's still a friendly face that the majority of fans enjoy having around from time to time.
Kane tends to pop up more often than not at the showcase of the immortals, and while he may not have the kind of resume that matches his brother The Undertaker, he always seems to give his all in the name of entertaining the WWE Universe.
Today, we want to try and separate some of his best Mania matches from some of his worst - as well as everything in between.
10 Andre The Giant Battle Royal - WrestleMania 31
Kane may as well not have even been in this match, because in truth, it’s the least memorable Andre The Giant Battle Royal so far – and that’s saying something when you consider the value that the match has lost over the years.
He was still part of The Authority in one way or another at this point in his career, and this match did absolutely nothing for him. With Big Show winning the whole thing, too, outlasting Damien Mizdow, we had the sort of ‘flat’ result that took a bit of the wind out of Mania before it had even really begun.
9 The Corre - WrestleMania 27
As a break-off faction from The Nexus, it was always clear to see that The Corre wasn’t going to be as successful as WWE had probably initially hoped they would be.
However, while it may have been the right decision for Kane, Big Show, Kofi Kingston and Santino Marella to beat them at the showcase of the immortals, we couldn’t help but feel like this was a huge waste of Kane’s potential at this stage in his career.
He had just held the World Heavyweight Championship a few months prior, and all of a sudden, he was dancing around the ring like he was some kind of comedy character.
8 Andre The Giant Battle Royal - WrestleMania 34
Kane was able to float around this incarnation of the Battle Royal for a while before being eliminated, but in a general sense, the match itself just felt a whole lot more complete than the previous two bouts on this list.

He still had some name value as the monster and when he wasn’t running around looking like a pretend lawyer, he was actually able to do a pretty decent job as an efficient roadblock for those in the match to conquer.
He was never going to be the favorite, but he still served an honorable purpose.
7 Chavo Guerrero - WrestleMania 24
Chavo Guerrero, in the eyes of many, didn’t really get the kind of booking that would’ve optimized his talents during his time in WWE.
One such example of that came back at WrestleMania 24 in Orlando when he was well and truly squashed by Kane, losing his ECW Championship in the process. While it’s not really fair to even call this a match, or anything close to it, the one thing they had going for them was that it was a legitimate surprise.
In the modern era, that doesn’t happen a whole lot.
6 The Shield - WrestleMania 30
Kane & The New Age Outlaws vs The Shield at WrestleMania 30 was exactly what it needed to be – a one-sided domination that helped to establish The Shield as one of the biggest and best factions of their generation.
This was a showcase moment that set them up perfectly for a feud with Evolution and, eventually, their ultimate downfall, with Seth Rollins turning on the group a few months later.
Kane played his role well in this match, realizing just how important it was to make these guys come across as stars.
5 Andre The Giant Battle Royal - WrestleMania 32
From the appearance of Shaq all the way through to nearly winning the entire match, this was a really fun edition of the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.
Kane was able to prove why he’s still such a highly respected figure within this business, kicking ass and taking names.

While he ultimately fell at the feet of Baron Corbin, second place wasn’t exactly a bad outcome for a guy who enjoyed something of a career resurgence leading up to WrestleMania 32.
If only WWE had kept up an aura of consistency with him.
4 Money In The Bank - WrestleMania 26
This MITB ladder match felt a bit like a carbon copy of the previous year, and while that might sound a little bit too harsh, it’s true.
Kane had a few cool spots here and there but it was evident to see that the concept was just kind of being thrown onto the WrestleMania card for the sake of it – with Jack Swagger’s win serving as proof of that.
Ironically enough Kane went on to win the MITB ladder match later on that year when it became its own pay per view.
3 Money In The Bank - WrestleMania 25
This was an incredibly fun edition of the Money in the Bank ladder match, mainly because it just felt as if they built in a few stories to go alongside the utter chaos that was unfolding before our very eyes.
Kane was able to hang in there as a viable contender through until the very end of the bout and considering CM Punk had already won it the year prior, there was a decent chance he was going to get the job done.
He didn’t, unfortunately, but it was still an intense finish.
2 Big E & Dolph Ziggler - WrestleMania 29
While Team Hell No vs Big E and Dolph Ziggler could’ve quite easily been a match on Monday Night RAW and nothing more, we quite like the fact that Kane and Bryan’s bizarre friendship was given the chance to shine on the grandest stage of them all.

This was fairly non-stop and they had to cram a whole bunch of stuff into a pretty short space of time, but either way, Kane and Bryan continued to prove why the ‘big man, little man’ tag-team partnership works so unbelievably well.
1 Randy Orton - WrestleMania 28
Two legends of the business going head to head at the show of shows – in our mind, there’s nothing better than that.
These two had a few interactions in the years prior to the big show in Miami, but we wouldn’t say they’d ever been given the chance to prove what they could do in the ring together on a consistent basis. It certainly wasn’t the best Mania match of either man’s career, but it was a perfectly acceptable showcase with a surprise ending as Kane actually managed to get the win against The Viper.
