Macho Man epitomized the direction that professional wrestling was heading in the '80s. Savage was a larger-than-life character, and he thrived as both a babyface and as a heel. He posed a legitimate threat to Hulk Hogan's dominance once The Mega Powers imploded, and he had a couple of successful runs with the WWE Championship.

However, Savage's career has had many ups and downs, which saw him compete in countless high-profile WWE Title matches, and even a retirement match. Savage transitioned into a commentator, and his final WWE match came at WrestleMania. Nevertheless, the late-great Macho Man's final batch of pay-per-view matches featured some of the greatest matches in his WWE Hall of Fame career.
10 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 1994
It's quite astonishing that Randy Savage failed to win the Royal Rumble match in his stellar career. Nevertheless, Macho Man competed in the Royal Rumble match for the final time at the 1994 Royal Rumble.
Savage entered 11th and he battled with Diesel, who was in the ring on his lonesome, and he tore through the field with ease. Nevertheless, Savage eliminated Jeff Jarrett but it was far from a vintage performance from Savage as Crush super kicked him and threw him over the top rope with just a five-minute cameo to boot.
9 Randy Savage Vs. Jake Roberts - This Tuesday In Texas, 1991
For the first time in nine months, Macho Man Randy Savage competed on pay-per-view against Jake "The Snake" Roberts at This Tuesday in Texas. Savage was hellbent on getting revenge on Roberts as Savage was helplessly tied onto the ropes with Roberts' snake biting Savage's arm.
Savage chased down Roberts and viciously assaulted him before the match even began. Macho Man regained control of this contest after Roberts would target his arm where the snake bit him. Ultimately, Savage prevailed with his patented top rope elbow drop.
8 Randy Savage, Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, And Marty Jannetty Vs. Diesel, IRS, Adam Bomb, And Rick Martel - Survivor Series 1993
Randy Savage replaced Mr. Perfect at the final hour to team up with Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, and Marty Jannetty at Survivor Series 1993. They collided with the heel combination that featured Diesel, IRS, Adam Bomb, and Rick Martel.
Savage was in blistering form, and he was a huge asset to the team which ultimately won this match. He collided with Big Daddy Cool Diesel, who was competing in his first WWE pay-per-view match. Macho Man removed Diesel from proceedings with a picture-perfect elbow drop from the top rope which led to the heels imploding amongst themselves.
7 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 1993
The 1993 Royal Rumble match was one of the most important Royal Rumble matches in history. It was the first time where the Royal Rumble winner was granted a WWE Championship title shot at WrestleMania IX.

Savage entered the fray as the final participant and he received a standing ovation. Macho Man eliminated Repo Man over the top rope, and he found his way into the final two with Yokozuna. Savage managed to take Yokozuna down and dropped him with an elbow and he bizarrely tried to pin him. Yokozuna hoisted Savage over to win the Royal Rumble.
6 Randy Savage Vs. Crush - WrestleMania X
WrestleMania X marked Randy Savage's final televised match in a WWE ring. The former two-time WWE Champion collided with Crush in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Savage and Crush wasted no time by clashing in the aisle way, and Mr. Fuji handed Crush some salt to no avail.
Savage won the first fall by hitting Crush with his patented elbow drop and he pinned him on the outside. Moreover, they took their action to the backstage area, and Savage pushed Crush through the door and pinned him again. He tried to tie Crush's feet up so he could not get up but it was a successful victory for Savage for the final time in WWE.
5 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 1992
After the controversial WWE Title changes between The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan at the end of 1991, the 1992 Royal Rumble match was for the vacant WWE Championship. Savage entered the match as the 21st entrant and he put on a superb performance.
He eliminated Jake Roberts and Col. Mustafa aka Iron Sheik. Technically Savage eliminated himself but he carried on in the match. Nevertheless, he reached the final four but failed to recapture the WWE Title with Ric Flair and Sid Justice removing him from the equation, but it was a valiant effort as he lasted 22 minutes.
4 Randy Savage & Mr. Perfect Vs. Ric Flair & Razor Ramon - Survivor Series 1992
At Survivor Series 1992, Randy Savage was due to team up with The Ultimate Warrior to face off with Ric Flair and his new protege Razor Ramon. However, Warrior sought greener pastures by leaving WWE, and Savage teamed up with former two-time Intercontinental Champion Mr. Perfect.

This was a remarkable tag team match which was one of the best matches in the history of the Survivor Series. The Bad Guy was reasonably new to WWE but he did not look out of place in this match. Unfortunately, this match was ended by way of disqualification.
3 Randy Savage Vs. The Ultimate Warrior - SummerSlam 1992
The Ultimate Warrior was never a great in-ring technician but when he squared off with Randy Savage their matches were off the charts. That's because of Macho Man's greatness, which is why he was able to pull off magnificent matches with Warrior.
At SummerSlam 1992, Savage defended the WWE Championship with Warrior looking to reclaim the WWE Title. This encounter went back and forth but Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect interfered which put a dampener on this match. Warrior somehow managed to kick out of Savage's elbow drop but he won the match by count-out, which allowed Macho Man to retain the WWE Championship.
2 Randy Savage Vs. Ric Flair - WrestleMania VIII
Randy Savage and Ric Flair had animosity for each other in their storyline, and they finally locked horns at WrestleMania VIII with Flair's WWE Championship on the line. This should have closed out WrestleMania VIII as it was the match of the night.
Flair bled profusely, and Savage put on another legendary performance at WrestleMania. Flair's charge Mr. Perfect looked worried for Flair and he handed Flair a pair of brass knuckles. Despite the shenanigans, it failed to work as Savage became a two-time WWE Champion by rolling up Flair.
1 Randy Savage Vs. The Ultimate Warrior - WrestleMania VII
A year before Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior's WWE Title match at SummerSlam 1992, they collided at WrestleMania VII with a huge caveat in a retirement match.
The Macho Man stepped up to the plate as he often does at WrestleMania as he was inferior in the ring to Warrior. Both men deserve credit for making this match memorable as fans were hooked all the way through. Warrior prevailed but Savage created another WrestleMania moment as he reunited with Miss. Elizabeth. Savage turned face, and there was not a dry eye in the building in this heartwarming reconciliation.
