    Pitbull is giving children the chance he never got by opening the Sports Leadership and Management Academy (SLAM!), a public charter school emphasizing sports as a way to connect disenfranchised youth with education, to the tune of $15 million in construction costs. He attended the dedication of Miami’s SLAM! school in October.

    Pitbull performing his hit single "Give Me Everything" with Ne-Yo on American Idol. The song, which declares, "We might not get tomorrow, let's do it tonight," is neither apocalyptic nor purely sexual, he says. "It's bigger than getting laid tonight," Pit tells THR. "It's more like, 'Enjoy every minute of this, man, 'cause you just never know.' … Every day above ground is a great day."

    An Internet meme to “exile” Pitbull succeeded in securing an appearance by him in Kodiak, Alaska (population: 6,300 — give or take), in 2012. Says his manager Charles Chavez, “Being the punch line doesn’t bother him.”

    Pitbull and Kesha performed at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in November in L.A. Pitbull says he hasn’t been in touch with her since she got out of rehab in March.

    The rapper's sixth album featured one of his biggest hits, "Give Me Everything Tonight." It was released on June 21, 2011, by Polo Grounds Music, Mr. 305 Entertainment, Sony Music and J Records.

  • Pitbull and Bud Light

    Pitbull was featured in a Bud Light Commercial during the 2014 Super Bowl. Says Alex López Negrete, president and CEO of Lopez Negrete Communications: "Pitbull is one of those  rare artists that has combined elegance, class, hard work, enthusiasm, youth, sexiness — all  in a hip, contemporary and fresh way.
