When it comes to WWE, there's always experimentation with gimmicks, pairings, and spots on the card. For Otis, he's become sort of a lab rat. Otis started his main roster career as part of a tag team that was popular, but was never going to go anywhere. He randomly won the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2020, but lost it when his partner, Tucker, turned on him to become a 24/7 Champion contender, almost immediately. Then Otis floundered for a bit until he turned heel when he started teaming with Chad Gable. That's where Otis sits right now in a career that's been fairly eventful, but his next stage looks to be just right for the big man.

Otis Can Actually Make The Maximum Male Models An Interesting Faction
Otis was never meant for the main event spot. He's not the greatest wrestler on the planet. He's built like a house and can move around well enough, but there are certainly better big men on the roster. What he does have is charisma. He may have plenty of shortcomings in the ring, but he's an entertaining guy. His facial expressions, grunts, mannerisms, and physical comedy are always on point. He has an explosive personality, and that makes him just an amusing guy because of how dedicated he is to his character work. That makes his less than spectacular ring work more worth it to watch, and that may be just what the Maximum Male Models needs as a group.
In the real world, someone like Otis would never be approached by a modeling agency, but this is professional wrestling where attempted murder has been committed several times with no repercussions. The irony of Maxine wanting a huge slob like Otis to join her group of models makes the group something worth watching. The Maximum Male Models are never going to be a threatening faction. There's a reason why Triple H got LA Knight the heck out of there when he took charge, but the group can be a form of comic relief that's essential in wrestling. Otis can be a major piece in that goal. Right now, there's nothing about them that anyone wants to see. They're obsessed with their looks. That's about it. They've already shown Mace and Mansoor look at Otis in disgust, so the vignettes and segments already have a direction and fans are already intrigued.
Otis Joining The Maximum Male Models Gives Chad Gable The Chance Of A Singles Run
Otis has always needed a tag team or a group to bounce off of. His singles run didn't go anywhere as evidenced by his scarcity on TV after he lost the Money in the Bank contract. It wasn't until Chad Gable took Otis under his wing and formed the Alpha Academy that Otis came back to the screens. They're fun as a team, and certainly earned a spot at WrestleMania 38. However, for as much charisma that Otis contains, Chad Gable has a lot more. The fact that he survived the Shorty G era of his career speaks volumes to that. Chad Gable is just so good in whatever is given to him. He gives his all in his performances. He's an entertaining superstar, but he's also a fantastic in ring performer.

He was once touted as the next Kurt Angle. He's got the comedic chops for it, but he's been held down for so long. Whether it be by being in a tag team or getting punished for getting over with the fans, he's never been given a chance. His position right now seems to be a jobber to the stars, which could be worse, as he does make his opponents look like a million bucks, which is the purpose, but he does deserve so much more. Otis joining the Maximum Male Models not only gives Otis more of a chance to shine, but it also gives Chad Gable the opportunity to fulfill his potential.
Otis is an entertaining individual. He's a big man with a big personality, and that's exactly what the Maximum Male Models could use. There's nothing interesting about the group at the moment. However, Otis has proved that he has what it takes in terms of comedy during his storyline with Mandy Rose, so if he joins them, they could become a very enjoyable act on TV. There are plenty of storyline options too. Dissension between each of the members, Gable wanting to join, or Otis acting like a big shot. Even better, if it doesn't work out, it's not like it's a major program, and it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
