TKU September 2009

In TKU September 2009, we have modified the way of obtaining list of hostnames with Data Protection Manager Agent instances. Now pattern uses dynamic SQL query to get this information. Although this means that we are no longer running an active command on the host being scanned, this information can only be obtained if appropriate SQL Server credentials have been set up for the Foundation user in the 'Microsoft SQL Server System Center Queries' credentials group.

TKU October 2009

In TKU October a small issue with the way WMI namespace was being passed to our Discovery has been resolved. Functionality of the pattern has stayed the same.

TKU November 2009

In TKU November an additional known version was added

TKU November 2010

In TKU November the following changes were made:

  • A slight change was made to the way the pattern links to SQL Server Software Instances
  • The database queries are now only run if the relevant configuration option is enabled. By default this option is enabled

TKU January 2011

In TKU January 2011 the MSDataProtectionManager pattern now supports querying Microsoft SQL Server on a specific IP address and port, if this kind of configuration (IP address and port) has been discovered by the core MS SQL pattern.

TKU April 2015

In TKU April 2015 the pattern was updated with the following changes:
The pattern was enhanced to support some versions of Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager Software Instance. (QM001877897)

TKU May 2015

In TKU May 2015 the pattern was updated with the following changes:

  • The pattern was improved to support Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager version 2012, 2012 SP1, and 2012 R2. (TKU-4046)

In TKU December 2018 we made a small bug fix in how we report the short name.
