M. Night Shyamalan reveals that he is forever changed as an artist and a person after filming concludes on his latest movie Knock At The Cabin.

Filming on M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie, Knock At The Cabin, has just come to a close. Shyamalan is best known for helming classics like 1999's The Sixth Sense, starring Bruce Willis and a young Haley Joel Osment, which helped to shape the thriller genre. The director has gone on to establish his storytelling techniques by creating complex narratives with shocking twists. For Knock At The Cabin, Shyamalan is joined by a talented cast made up of Dave Bautista, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, and Rupert Grint.

Shyamalan's Knock At The Cabin is said to be a home invasion movie with a twist, though, like most of his other films, the plot details have been kept quiet. Despite this, many are speculating that it will lean into the horror genre. Knock At The Cabin is teased to have a '90s thriller feel, as Shyamalan has previously shown off the '90s lenses used throughout the project.

After their April start date just a few months ago, Shyamalan announced that filming for Knock At The Cabin is already completed. The director shared some warm words about the cast and crew alongside a picture of the slate from their final day. The clapperboard featured an image of foggy woods surrounding an isolated cabin which definitely plays into the speculated horror themes, giving the film a Cabin in the Woods feel. His time working on the project really seemed to strike a chord with the director, as Shyamalan reveals that Knock At The Cabin has changed him as not only an artist but a person. This passionate reaction to Knock At The Cabin is not entirely surprising. Just a week into filming, the director confessed that he had to take a break to collect himself as Shyamalan was left shaken by the intense emotional performances given by the actors. The director revealed that Knock At The Cabin is a "very dark, emotional film," so one can only imagine that this wasn't the only time the director, and maybe other crew members, experienced powerful reactions to the performances.

Shyamalan signed a deal with Universal Pictures in 2019 to complete two new original features- the first of which, Old, was released in 2021. Old did well at the box office but received polarizing reviews, as Shyamalan's infamous twists often do. Shyamalan has made quick work on the second Universal Pictures feature as filming comes to a close on Knock At The Cabin. Shyamalan's previous successes already put this film in the spotlight, but he continues to raise the bar for himself as he shares how much of an impact Knock At The Cabin has had on him. Audiences can expect this enticing thriller to hit theatres on February 3, 2023.
