Morgan is currently defined by the following photos of her time as a wrestler.
8 Chasing Her Dream
The background of Liv Morgan did not see her wrestling before WWE. Morgan was a Hooters server and chasing other projects when she received a WWE tryout. Both Enzo Amore and Triple H’s trainer Joe DeFranco were considered the voices that reached out to Morgan due to the interest in signing new women.

Liv instantly won over the team to get a spot at the Performance Center. Many names were over before joining WWE, but Morgan had to start from scratch. The success of Liv confirms that the Performance Center does have a purpose, helping many future stars.
7 Gaining Experience In NXT
The NXT run of Liv Morgan did not see her having a main role, but she was around enough to get established. Rumors indicate that Enzo Amore wanted her to become his and Big Cass’ manager instead of Carmella, but WWE had other plans.
Morgan was often on her own in singles matches trying to build momentum. The potential of Liv was there, but she was never booked as a threat to the NXT Women’s Championship. Morgan learned on the job by gaining experience, even if she didn’t receive a huge push.
6 Called Up In New Act
WWE calling up Liv Morgan came out of nowhere since she entered a completely new act with fellow NXT stars. The trio of Morgan, Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan made a surprise attack on SmackDown to become the Riott Squad.
Ruby claims that Vince McMahon was inspired by the Suicide Squad movie when coming up with the faction. The three women all played different characters in NXT and were forced to get on the same page together on the main roster.
5 Getting The Riott Squad Over
WWE introduced both the Riott Squad and Absolution at the same time despite being similar acts of a female trio of different characters aligning. Absolution was viewed as the bigger act due to Paige coming back from an injury, but the Riott Squad thrived more.
Fans ended up taking Ruby, Liv and Sarah seriously since they were a true team. All three members became best friends outside of the ring and still remain close today in different places. Morgan has revealed that the Riott Squad was the best time of her career and created some of the happiest moments in wrestling.
4 First Failed Singles Push
WWE ending the Riott Squad saw Liv Morgan having the best chance at breaking out with a push. Morgan returned from a long absence in the Lana/Rusev/Bobby Lashley love triangle with classic Paul Heyman booking hijinks.

The claims of Liv to have a relationship with Lana before she met either man was meant to push her in a major role. WWE realized the angle was dead in the water due to the poor crowd reaction to cancel all pushes. Lashley was the only one to benefit from the angle since it helped reset his heel character before ditching Lana to align with MVP.
3 Reuniting With Ruby
The lackluster singles runs of Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan after the Riott Squad led to them reuniting as a tag team. WWE booked Riott and Morgan to make peace after airing out their past grievances to become a top face women’s division tag team.
Unfortunately, WWE didn’t put much time and effort into the Women’s Tag Team Championship picture. Morgan and Riott did their best, but they lost their biggest matches to end the run. WWE releasing Ruby left Liv on her own without her closest friend and partner on the roster.
2 Forming Connection With Fans
The picture in question comes from Liv Morgan’s impressive 2021 when moving forward on her own. Morgan was not put in a position to succeed, but she found a way to develop her connection with the audience rallying behind her.
Fans wanted Liv to win the Money in the Bank ladder match, but WWE decided Nikki A.S.H. was the right call. Morgan even had fan support during the Queen’s Crown tournament before falling to Carmella. WWE passing over Liv didn’t stop the fan support from building to lead a to real push coming her way.
1 Main Eventer
Liv Morgan getting over with the fans finally won over WWE to place her in a feud with the now heel Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship. Recent times have seen Morgan stepping up in strong promo segments against the top woman in the entire company.
WWE even trusted Liv to main event an episode against Becky before falling short in the title match. No one can take away that Morgan has moved into a much bigger role and is being presented as a real threat to Lynch’s title reign moving forward.
