What appears to be WWE's brand new set created for the return of fans has leaked online, and there's no sign of the SmackDown fist.
Tonight is a big one for WWE. Other than WrestleMania 37 earlier this year, fans have not been in attendance for any WWE shows since the start of the pandemic. That changes tonight as what will likely be an incredibly memorable edition of SmackDown will air live from Houston, Texas with a capacity crowd in attendance.
The SmackDown Set
Since WWE has now officially left the ThunderDome, possibly forever, Raw and SmackDown will need new sets. It appears a first look at the blue brand's set has leaked online. You can check out the photo below courtesy of Fiend4Follows. There are conflicting reports online claiming the photo is fake, so take a look and decide for yourselves.

The picture certainly looks real, down to the ladders on the stage to signify tonight's SmackDown is the go-home show for Money in the Bank this Sunday. If it is real, then odds are fans won't be all that excited by the new stage. As has been commonplace for WWE stages for a while now, the stage is more or less one big screen. It does look unfinished if real though as there doesn't yet appear to be a ramp in place.
Where's The Fist?
It's also lacking the famous SmackDown fist, although in defense of WWE that has been missing for well over a decade despite fans clamoring for its return. The generic big screen will likely mean the same stage is used for Raw on Monday, and perhaps even Money in the Bank on Sunday. WWE is able to change the color scheme at the flick of a switch via a stage like this one, negating the need to create a unique stage for every single show.
As touched upon above, tonight's SmackDown is going to be a big one. The Women's Title will be on the line and there might well be a surprise or two. With Money in the Bank this weekend and the first Raw in front of fans for 16 months the night after that, now might be a good time to take a deep breath and prepare yourselves for what is bound to be a very big few days for WWE and its fans.
