WWE's Keith Lee has denied stealing a move off New Japan Pro Wrestling star Jeff Cobb. Lee, fresh on the main roster from NXT, has gotten off to a remarkable start to life away from the promotion's developmental brand.

Monday's Raw saw Lee defeat Dolph Ziggler to progress through to a triple-threat match which will determine who becomes the No.1 contender for Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship.

Lee used a move against Ziggler that looked like Cobb's "Tour of the Islands" slam, one he actually calls the "Jeff Brown Slam." A fan who noticed the similarity between the moves asked Lee whether he'd used Cobb's slam; the performer explained the difference while noting it was dedicated to Jeff Brown, a wrestler he looked up to while he was on the indie circuit.

"Nah boss lol. Cobbzilla's [Jeff Cobb] slam goes the other direction and has a full stop. I'd never steal my boy's move," he wrote in response to the query. "I call it that the #JeffBrownSlam.

"He's [Jeff Brown] a former wrestler in TX. He used it when I first started. I was always a fan so when he retired, I started using it to pay homage."

Cobb noticed the response and showed Keith some love.

"And that's why you are one of my favorites....... even if you are pouncing next or spirit bombing me..... or any physicality towards me," he tweeted.

Lee's On His Way To The Moon

Cobb recently told Wrestling Inc. he's a free agent and will announce his next move soon.

Lee, meanwhile, is understood to be a favorite of Vince McMahon, who wants to "push him to the moon." There's hardly any doubt over the chairman's intent where Lee's concerned, he's already picked up two huge wins since joining the main roster, beating Randy Orton at Payback and Ziggler on Monday night.
