At Survivor Series 2012, Dean Ambrose made his main roster debut alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as The Shield. Ambrose was arguably the best member of the trio who had the best mic skills, and his in-ring skills were not too shabby either. Ambrose featured in marquee matches once The Shield broke up, and he did an admirable job as a singles competitor.

Not all of Ambrose's matches were technical masterpieces but some of them were simply sensational. The Lunatic Fringe was popular amongst the fans in WWE, and he is sorely missed by many in WWE. Nevertheless, Ambrose had a successful run in WWE as a Grand Slam Champion, and he put on several iconic matches.
10 Dean Ambrose Vs. Kane - Payback 2013
At Payback 2013, Dean Ambrose defended his newly won United States Championship against Kane. Kane has virtually won everything there is to win in WWE, except for the United States Title.
Despite The Big Red Machine having the size and power advantage, Ambrose had a lot of offense in the match. It was a forgettable United States Title Match, but Ambrose battled his way out of Kane's Chokeslam. He retained his championship via count-out as Kane was unable to get up from Ambrose's Dirty Deeds on the outside.
9 Dean Ambrose Vs. Bad News Barrett - Fastlane 2015
Dean Ambrose was looking to unseat Bad News Barrett in their Intercontinental Championship match at Fastlane 2015. The five-time Intercontinental Champion took the initiative and executed some stiff kicks to Ambrose's face.
Ambrose showcased his resiliency by kicking out Barrett's patented Wasteland. This was a decent title match but Barrett had enough and tried to leave with his title intact. Ambrose nailed Barrett with a suicide dive but Ambrose lost via disqualification as he refused to stop beating up Barrett which marred the match.
8 Dean Ambrose Vs. Kofi Kingston - Extreme Rules 2013
Dean Ambrose was looking to become the first member of The Shield to grab some silverware at Extreme Rules 2013. The Lunatic Fringe challenged Kofi Kingston for the United States Championship in Ambrose's first singles outing on a WWE pay-per-view.
Ambrose came down to ringside with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in tow but they headed back to the locker room to prepare for their WWE Tag Team title match. It was an average match considering the quality that both wrestlers possess. Ultimately, Ambrose captured the United States Championship with Dirty Deeds.
7 Dean Ambrose Vs. Dolph Ziggler - Night Of Champions 2013
Truth be told, Dean Ambrose's United States Championship run wasn't great despite holding the title for over 300 days. He rarely defended the gold but former champion Dolph Ziggler was his challenger at Night of Champions 2013.

It was a high octane battle with plenty of reversals as expected between these two. This title match certainly could have been better but it served its purpose. Ziggler failed to execute his Zig-Zag with The Lunatic Fringe continuing his reign as United States Champion.
6 Dean Ambrose Vs. Rob Van Dam - SummerSlam 2013
It's criminal that a United States Championship match featuring Dean Ambrose and Rob Van Dam was not deemed good enough to make it to the main show of SummerSlam 2013. Ambrose was on his lonesome until Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns made their way down to ringside, ensuring Ambrose had a significant advantage.
However, the odds were evened up as Mark Henry and Big Show also appeared at ringside. There were some bright spells in this titular bout, and Ambrose showed he could compete with someone of the caliber of RVD. Nevertheless, RVD was closing in on the US Title but Reigns speared Van Dam which led to Ambrose retaining by disqualification.
5 Dean Ambrose Vs. Bray Wyatt - TLC 2014
Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt continued their rivalry, and they stepped it up a gear in a TLC match on an underwhelming TLC pay-per-view in 2014. However, Ambrose and Wyatt were comfortable in their surroundings as they were able to pummel each other with weapons.
Unfortunately, this failed to live up to the expectations, and fans were getting bored of the match. The finish was laughable as Ambrose picked up a monitor which blew up in his face. Wyatt prevailed after delivering a picture-perfect Sister Abigail.
4 Dean Ambrose Vs. Big E Langston - Hell In A Cell 2013
Big E Langston became extremely popular after he ended his association with AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler. He challenged Dean Ambrose for the WWE United States Championship at Hell in a Cell 2013. This was an underrated affair, and it became abundantly clear that Big E was destined to become a huge star.

3 Dean Ambrose Vs. Bray Wyatt - Survivor Series 2014
Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt were on a collision course at Survivor Series 2014. Neither man pulled any punches in a hard-hitting match. The Lunatic Fringe nailed Wyatt with a thunderous clothesline. Fans were clearly invested in this match which was one of their best battles together.
Wyatt had some offense of his own as he planted Ambrose viciously on the steel steps. However, Wyatt had an equalizer which was a steel chair but his devious plans backfired as Ambrose clattered him with the chair. Ambrose got disqualified but he didn't care as he laughed last by planting Wyatt with a devastating Dirty Deeds on the chair.
2 Dean Ambrose Vs. Seth Rollins - SummerSlam 2014
Seth Rollins turned his back on The Shield, and he engaged in a personal rivalry with Dean Ambrose. The former buddies collided in a Lumberjack match at SummerSlam 2014. They tore the house down, and Ambrose largely had the fans in his corner.
Ambrose showed his toughness by suplexing Rollins onto the lumberjacks. They took their fight around the arena, and Rollins tried to escape but he got sent back to the ring. Fans acknowledged their efforts, and chanted "This is Awesome." Ultimately, The Architect prevailed after he clocked Ambrose with the Money in the Bank briefcase in his face.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins headlined Hell in a Cell 2014 in a Hell in a Cell match. Their bitter rivalry was superb, and Rollins was riding a wave of momentum as Mr. Money in the Bank.
Ambrose and Rollins were inseparable and they detested each other which led to both men falling off the side of the cell and crashing through the announce table beneath. The Lunatic Fringe was in cruise control but Bray Wyatt made his presence felt and assaulted Ambrose. Ultimately, Rollins being the opportunist that he is, picked up the scraps and prevailed.
