Former WWE announcer Jim Ross recently recalled a car ride with Vince McMahon that was most unpleasant. Ross, now with AEW, was a guest on Chris Jericho's Talk is Jericho podcast to promote his new book Under the Black Hat: My Life in the WWE and Beyond.
The book, a tribute to JR's late wife Jan, also contains numerous stories from his storied WWE career.

Ross said the book was very difficult to write as he had to relive what happened to his wife, adding it's not meant to be a criticism of WWE but a reflection on his experiences.
He would go on to relay the events of a particular car ride with McMahon that he felt was going to ruin his clothes.
“One time we were driving from Colombus, Ohio to someplace…Watts, Bruce Prichard and Pat Patterson were in the car behind us, leaving me with Vince," he recalled (H/T Wrestlingnews.co). "Vince, of course, would not allow anybody else to drive but him, which is cool. I don’t mind riding shotgun.
"What he does is he locks all of the windows and he starts farting methane. I said, ‘this sh*t is going to ruin my clothes.’ That’s how bad this is. He had so much fun doing it. That’s the same night they had the one lane closed on the interstate and had all these big barrels…He was running the cones [and] we got stopped by state police.”
Of course, Vince was given a ticket for his irresponsible driving. JR says he simply tossed in the backseat as he knew someone was going to take care of it for him.
Imagine It Being The Other Way Round...
It must have been quite an awful experience being trapped in a car with a gassy Vince McMahon who was also driving recklessly.
We imagine Vince would have gone ballistic if someone else was breaking wind in his presence, but it's okay to do it to someone else, right?
