He died away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving behind family and friends who will miss him deeply. His parents, James Richard Carroll and Polly Rogers Carroll, as well as his sister, Connie Carroll, passed away before he was born. Those who are left behind include his children, Ricky Marsh of Weston, David Marsh of Weston, and Patty Marsh of Weston; his grandchildren, Leah Marsh, Payten Marsh, Eli Simpson, and Rylea Marsh; his sister, Noelle Stapleton of Baird, West Virginia; and his nieces, Brittany Stapleton of Baird, West Virginia and Megan Sterling (Anthony) of Salisbury, Maryland.
