Jade Cargill, known for her presence in AEW (All Elite Wrestling), is set to embark on a new chapter in her wrestling career, with reports suggesting her AEW contract has run its course. WWE insiders have confirmed that Cargill is scheduled to start her journey at their training facility and kick things off at the WWE Performance Center.

Cargill's last appearance in AEW was in a match against TBS champion Kris Statlander on the September 15th, 2023 edition of AEW Rampage. Unfortunately, she faced defeat at the hands of Statlander, leading to speculation that this bout could potentially mark the end of her tenure with AEW. On Sunday, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following about Cargill’s status…

“In an update on Jade Cargill, her AEW contract is believed to have expired. WWE sources have confirmed to PWInsider.com that Cargill is slated to be at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this coming week.”

The decision to kickstart her WWE journey at the Performance Center may serve a dual purpose. Firstly, it's plausible that Cargill could be bound by a non-compete clause, restricting her from appearing on WWE programming for a specific duration following her AEW exit. Secondly, honing her skills within the WWE production style is crucial before she makes her live television debut and is expected to shine as an instant star. Wrestling luminary Eric Bischoff underscored this transition, emphasizing the adaptation required in the WWE system. He commented on his podcast, "She'll be called something else. Most likely. She's going to learn the WWE system. She's going to learn how to perform for television in a much different way than she's been exposed to. I can assure you that she's going to learn a lot."

Considerable Buzz Surrounding Cargill Jumping to WWE

Dave Meltzer, in a recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter post, indicated that there was considerable buzz within WWE about Cargill's arrival, with discussions leaning toward a position on the main roster rather than developmental. He wrote, "...while she has a star look and is a great athlete, her skill set and experience level is not at WWE main roster woman levels. But good workers are there to make the less experienced and more marketable workers look better than they are." If WWE is heavily investing in her, they want to be sure that she looks as good as possible upon her debut.

Hall of Famer Booker T shared his optimism regarding Cargill's future in WWE, predicting her ascension to "megastar" status if she indeed commits to the organization.
