It is possible to get David's Jacket in Cyberpunk 2077 and get an item that is a nod to the Edgerunners TV show. However, to get the jacket, you will need to progress the main story to Act so that you get access to Night City’s Watson district. Once your V has access to the area, you can start your search for David's jacket right away.

You will need to head to Megabuilding H4, located in Arroyoin Night City’s Santo Domingodistrict. If you are having trouble locating the building, it will be marked with a Side Gig marker on the map called Over the Edge. Completing this quest shouldn't take long as it only requires you to watch a Braindance and send a few texts.

The location of the Edgerunners quest in Cyberpunk 2077, a trashcan

Once you reach the Megabuilding Hr, you will need to go down a small alleyway that will contain a trashcan. This trashcan will be marked with a Neon symbol, the same symbol as David's jacket, which contains a Braindance. Grab the Braindance and play it to proceed further in the quest.

Activating the braindance will cause a short clip from the Edgerunners anime to play, followed by a warning not to end up like David. When V exits the braindance, players should open their phone and text Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes, Santo Domingo’s local fixer, selecting the About David Martinez conversation option.

A short clip will play, which will be in the same anime style as the Edgerunners show. Once you exit the Braindance, open your phone to text Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes. Within the phone menu, you will now have a conversation option, 'About David Martinez.' Upon selecting the conversation, Reyes will give you more information about David and try to set up a meeting.

You should follow through with the conversation, and Falco will reveal that David’s whole crew has gone underground, discouraging you from searching further. However, in return for your persistence, Falco has left something with Muamar that V can collect. You can meet up with Muamar at the location marked above, where you will find David’s jacket.
