Summer has been in full swing for a while now, and we are sure that you won't have failed to notice that the oversized straw hat has become the must-have accessory of the season. Fashion influencers, editors and A-listers alike have all been swapping their regular-sized headwear for the extreme design.
The trend really got started with French cool-girl label Jacquemus who famed the extravagant accessory in his 'La Bomba' collection. The brand has become something of a trend-setting label this summer, not only sparking a craze in oversized hats, but also to the next extreme with teeny, tiny bags.
And just like with the miniature bags, Jacquemus' hats were quickly snapped up by plenty of influential faces across Instagram, including the likes of Emily Ratajkowski, Tracee Ellis Ross and Danish actress and face of Balenciaga, Emma Rosenzweig (who became possibly the coolest bride we've ever seen when she wore the design on her wedding day).
And, while Jacquemus can certainly be credited with spreading the oversized-straw-hat movement, there are other designers who also betted on the big headwear trend, including Mexican label Olmos & Flores, whose design was worn by Bella Hadid on a fashion shoot.
