General Hospital Famous Feuds: Sonny And Jax

Jasper Jacks eventually went in search of a coveted deck of cards called the Dead Man's Hand which his father, John Jacks (Peter Renaday), attributed to all his good fortune. He met Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who was also hunting for the deck, and the two got involved. Eventually, Sam became pregnant with Sonny Corinthos' child, so Jax left her. Jax later dated Sonny's sister, Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis), but when she became pregnant with Nikolas Cassadine's (then Tyler Christopher) baby, they broke up.

Jax then got involved with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Sonny's ex-wife. They got engaged, but Jax left town briefly and returned to find that Carly had remarried Sonny so she wouldn't have to testify against him for shooting the villainous Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), brother to Luis. Carly later divorced him and returned to Jax. She became pregnant by Jax but eventually lost the baby because of an explosion caused by mobster Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Brown). Although Carly cheated on Jax with Sonny, they would later work things out and had a daughter named Josslyn Jacks.

However, when it was revealed that Jax was aware his evil brother Jerry Jacks (then Sebastian Roche) caused Carly and Sonny's son Michael Corinthos (then Dylan Cash) to be shot, she left him. In retaliation, Sonny later framed Jax for a crime, causing Brenda to leave him again. He then threatened Jax with a gun for driving Brenda away.
