X-Pac remains one of the most underrated wrestlers from his time in WWE and beyond. Fans have different memories of Sean Waltman when looking back at the various characters he played. The 1-2-3 Kid, Syxx and X-Pac were the main names used by Waltman trying to find the ideal role.

Most fans think of X-Pac first, since he still goes by it when returning to WWE these days. However, each step of his career featured interesting alliances with other talents. Waltman has found his way into various tag teams with different partners and in larger factions with many names. Each faction and tag team of X-Pac will be ranked from the worst to the absolute best.
10 The Band
TNA tried to find relevance from the previous versions of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman when placing them together in The Band. The trio first found chemistry as the backstage group known as the Kliq in WWE with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

WCW united them in the New World Order, but that was a larger group with more members. The Band featured Hall, Nash and Waltman all uniting on the night Hulk Hogan started running TNA. Unfortunately, that was a huge flop that made them look old and holding on to outdated ideas.
9 Tag Team With Bob Holly
The 1-2-3 Kid era of Sean Waltman’s career featured him taking part in a couple of tag teams. WWE’s New Generation Era was all about experimenting new ideas, and that led to quite a few makeshift tag teams getting a chance.
Bob Holly and 1-2-3 Kid had a short run teaming up with some forgotten success. The duo won the WWE Tag Team Championship together, defeating Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka for the vacant straps at Royal Rumble 1995. Most fans forget about it since they lost the belts one night later to the Smoking Gunns.
8 X-Factor
WWE decided to give X-Pac his own faction after a few stints being a strong but secondary part of legendary groups. The group was even named X-Factor to play into him being the leader since that was the name of his finishing move.
Albert joined X-Pac as an enforcer and Justin Credible signed from ECW to complete the trio. WWE didn’t find the desired success they had for this group since it felt like three different wrestlers trying to force an act. Albert ended up achieving the most success as a lackluster Intercontinental Champion in X-Factor.
7 Tag Team With Road Dogg
The 2000 version of D-Generation X continued after Billy Gunn suffered an injury and was written out of the group. X-Pac stepped into a new tag team with Road Dogg since Road Dogg needed a tag partner with Gunn no longer in the faction.
The duo of X-Pac and Road Dogg had some solid feuds with teams like Too Cool, Rikishi & Kane and the Dudley Boyz. Tori managing X-Pac saw her becoming the manager of the duo and even taking table bumps from Bubba Ray to play into the storyline for a fun little act.
6 WWE's New World Order
WWE's version of the New World Order is considered a failure since it couldn’t live up to expectations and was done in under six months. X-Pac actually had one of the rare hit moments that was underrated in the faction’s story.
Hulk Hogan turning face at WrestleMania 18 meant that new members had to join Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to keep it going. X-Pac attacking Hogan with a chair and referencing their past heat in WCW’s nWo placed him in the new version. Unfortunately, nothing could save that act from failing as X-Pac’s underrated work was for nothing.
5 Tag Team With Marty Jannetty
WWE placed together two beloved underdog face characters when the 1-2-3 Kid teamed with Marty Jannetty. The audience rallied behind the duo when they were the sole survivors to win a Survivor Series elimination match.

Jannetty and 1-2-3 Kid became a fun tag act for the next few months. The unlikely pair won the WWE Tag Team Championship from the Quebecers in a cool moment. WWE only kept the belts on them for a week before losing it back. Fans had enough nostalgia for this pair for indie promotion Chikara to book their tag team reunion in 2012.
4 Million Dollar Corporation
The 1-2-3 Kid character started off as such a pure babyface act that fans couldn’t envision him as a heel. That made it more surprising when 1-2-3 Kid turned heel on Razor Ramon to accept the money from Ted DiBiase to join his Million Dollar Corporation faction.
WWE showed a new whiny side of the 1-2-3 Kid to get heel heat in the hated faction. DiBiase was an all-time great heel and used that to help elevate some new talents. 1-2-3 Kid fit better than expected into the Million Dollar Corporation to show his chops as a heel.
3 Original New World Order
The New World Order instantly became the hottest act in wrestling when Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall started it off hot. Sean Waltman jumped ship from WWE to WCW and arrived in time to become the sixth member named Syxx.
The real-life chemistry between Waltman, Hall and Nash allowed him to fit into the group well. Syxx was also among the best in-ring workers for the nWo to have some better matches. WCW benefited from Syxx’s time in the nWo working with the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko.
2 Tag Team With Kane
WWE placing together Kane and X-Pac formed the ultimate odd couple tag team. Chyna and Triple H betrayed them respectively with a double turn at WrestleMania 15. Kane turned face after Triple H and Chyna turned heel to join The Corporation.
X-Pac and Kane formed instant chemistry uniting against the common enemies moving forward. Both wrestlers showed new sides to their characters and became a huge hit with the audience. The only complaint towards the Kane and X-Pac team is that they should have had a longer run.
1 D-Generation X
X-Pac's career changed forever when he returned to WWE in 1998 after the WCW run ended with a cold firing by Eric Bischoff. WWE brought back Sean Waltman at the right time to portray the X-Pac character, joining D-Generation X.
Shawn Michaels retiring meant the group had to adjust to continue and did just that with X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws joining Triple H and Chyna. The contributions of X-Pac were huge since he was considered the second most important member at most points. No other faction or team was as pivotal to X-Pac’s career as DX.
