The casket match has become The Undertaker's signature match. The Phenom has been involved in the majority of casket matches that have been staged in WWE. Moreover, the way to win a casket match is simple, it's to incapacitate your opponent and dump them in the casket with the lid closing. Although, the inaugural Casket match at Survivor Series 1992 saw the opponent have to be pinned first before they could win the match.

The WWE and Intercontinental Championships have been defended in casket matches and the titles haven't changed hands. Some casket matches delivered and others failed to catch fire.
20 Mideon & Viscera Vs. Triple H - SmackDown (9/23/99)
The deck was stacked against Triple H as he was aiming to book his spot in the six-pack challenge for the vacant WWE Championship at Unforgiven 1999. He was up against Mideon and Viscera in a handicap casket match.
It was mission impossible for Triple H as there was no way that he was going to stuff both Mideon and Viscera in the casket. Triple H lost the match which was the first casket match to take place on SmackDown.
19 The Undertaker Vs. Kane - Raw (10/19/98)
The Undertaker and Kane clashed in the first casket match to take place on Raw, just 24 hours removed from their WWE Championship match at Judgment Day: In Your House. This was an underwhelming match between the brothers.
They destroyed the casket, and the pair could not be separated. The bout was ruled as a no-contest since no one could end up in the casket.
18 The Undertaker Vs. Heidenreich - Royal Rumble 2005
At the 2005 Royal Rumble, The Undertaker collided with Heidenreich in one of the worst casket matches. Heidenreich wasn't a good in-ring competitor, and Undertaker was unfortunate to face Heidenreich for the second time in three months.
Raw's Snitsky got involved, and he gave Heidenreich a helping hand. However, Undertaker's brother Kane was feuding with Snitsky, and he dealt with him. Undertaker put this feud to bed after he rolled Heidenreich into the casket for the win.
17 The Undertaker Vs. Mark Henry - Raw (3/10/08)
Undertaker and Mark Henry had a WrestleMania 22 rematch on the March 10, 2008 edition of Raw in another casket match. Undertaker was the favorite once more, and he imposed himself on proceedings.

Their match was physical but it wasn't anything special. Undertaker incapacitated Henry with Hell's Gate, and the World's Strongest Man was bleeding from the mouth. The Phenom rolled him into the casket to ensure a repeat of the WrestleMania 22 outing.
16 The Undertaker Vs. Kamala - Survivor Series 1992
The inaugural casket match at Survivor Series 1992 was called a coffin match. Undertaker and Kamala were on opposing sides of the ring in this bout, and the Ugandan Giant was deathly afraid of Undertaker.
It was a straightforward win for Undertaker, but he had to pin him first and he rolled him into the casket. Afterward, Paul Bearer gave Undertaker a hammer and nails to seal Kamala's fate.
15 The Undertaker Vs. The Rock - Raw (5/17/99)
Undertaker and The Rock's chemistry together has never been there which is quite surprising considering the quality of the pair. Nevertheless, Undertaker was representing the Corporate Ministry in his casket match with The Rock.
The Undertaker was noticeably limping in this bout, and Rock's arm had a brace on it. Triple H interfered and he clocked Rock in the arm with a sledgehammer. Undertaker triumphed and the Game destroyed the casket.
14 The Undertaker Vs. King Mabel - In Your House 5: Seasons Beatings, 1995
The Undertaker's uninspiring rivalry with King Mabel finally came to an end in a casket match in the final WWE PPV of 1995. Undertaker sported his Phantom of the Opera-like mask, and he was determined to put King Mabel away.
The two heavy-hitters went at it, but there was always going to be one winner. Undertaker stuffed King Mabel in the casket, and Mabel's manager Mo suffered the same fate before he shut the lid, he retrieved the golden chain.
13 The Undertaker Vs. Vader - WWE On MSG Network (3/16/97)
One week before his WWE Championship showdown with Sycho Sid at WrestleMania 13, The Undertaker and Vader collided in a casket match. As expected, neither man held back, and Undertaker connected with a Tombstone on Vader.

Undertaker looked a dead cert to pick up the win but Mankind emerged from the casket. He applied the Mandible Claw and Vader picked up the win, all thanks to Mankind.
12 The Undertaker Vs. Rusev - The Greatest Royal Rumble 2018
The Undertaker was originally scheduled to face Chris Jericho in a blockbuster casket match, but Rusev replaced Y2J. The Phenom dominated the match, and Rusev was frightened when he rolled onto the casket.
It was a competitive match, and Undertaker chokeslammed Rusev. Aiden English got his nose involved in proceedings, but Undertaker sealed both men's fate by dumping them into the casket.
11 Yokozuna Vs. The Undertaker - Royal Rumble 1994
Yokozuna defended the WWE Championship against The Undertaker at the 1994 Royal Rumble. This was the first time that the WWE Title was defended in a casket match. Nonetheless, the match itself was average, but it was memorable.
Undertaker got the upper hand in his quest to regain the WWE Championship. However, several heels including Diesel and Jeff Jarrett assaulted Undertaker. The Deadman refused to stay down but the number's game proved to be too much with Yokozuna going on to retain the WWE Title.
10 Goldust Vs. The Undertaker - In Your House 8: Beware Of Dog, 1996
The Intercontinental Championship was contested in a casket for the first time at In Your House: Beware of Dog. Goldust defended his title, but it was a stern test as The Undertaker was looking to end his run with the gold.

Before the match began, Undertaker snuck up behind Goldust to gain the upper hand. This is an underrated casket match, and Goldust held his own here. Nonetheless, Undertaker executed the Tombstone on Goldust, but Mankind was a thorn in Undertaker's side, and he applied the Mandible Claw and aided Goldust in a successful title defense.
9 The Undertaker Vs. Chavo Guerrero - SmackDown (10/31/08)
Chavo Guerrero was the sacrificial lamb in his casket match with The Undertaker. The former Cruiserweight Champion bumped around for the Deadman, who dominated the match.
Big Show was standing on the ramp and he was selling a throat injury. Moreover, Show finally made his way down to the ring and he pummeled Undertaker. Ultimately, Undertaker weathered the storm and he went on to win another casket match.
8 The Undertaker Vs. Mark Henry - WrestleMania 22
WrestleMania 22 was the first time where The Undertaker didn't have to be pinned or submitted to lose his WrestleMania unbeaten streak. He clashed with Mark Henry in a casket match, and Undertaker was 13-0 on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Undertaker was relatively comfortable in this casket match with Henry posing few problems for his fellow Texan. A Tombstone was enough for Undertaker to put Henry into the casket and to go 14-0 at WrestleMania.
7 The Undertaker Vs. Big Show - Survivor Series 2008
The Undertaker and his former tag team partner Big Show were opponents in a casket match at Survivor Series 2008. This was a watchable casket match with both men giving their all in a physical encounter.
Show didn't make life easy for Undertaker who was celebrating 18 years with WWE. Nevertheless, the finish was remarkable with Undertaker Irish whipping Show into the casket which was standing up, and it closed with Undertaker triumphant.
6 The Undertaker Vs. Kama Mustafa - SummerSlam 1995
Undertaker and Kama Mustafa's casket match at SummerSlam 1995 were superb with Undertaker having a good match against one of his real-life good friends. Business was at hand here, and the Supreme Fighting Machine had one of the best matches in his career.

Their match lasted over 15 minutes which was longer than it needed to be. However, fans were heavily backing Undertaker, and he remained unbeaten at SummerSlam with a fine win.
5 The Undertaker Vs. Yokozuna - Survivor Series 1994
For the second time in 1994, The Undertaker and Yokozuna were opponents in a casket match. Their second meeting at Survivor Series had Chuck Norris as the special enforcer to ensure that a repeat of what happened at the Royal Rumble, would not materialize here.
King Kong Bundy distracted Norris, and IRS assaulted the Deadman. Nevertheless, the match flowed better than their Rumble match, and Undertaker turned the tables with a victory over the former two-time WWE Champion.
4 Kane Vs. Triple H - Raw (10/28/02)
Kane and Triple H's feud in 2002 was strange, but their casket match was better than many expected it to be. The Game's World Heavyweight Championship was not on the line, and Triple H clocked Kane in the head with a ring bell.
Triple H gained the upper hand, and he hit Kane across the skull with a steel chair. However, Shawn Michaels emerged from the casket, and he nailed Triple H with Sweet Chin Music. Kane chokeslammed Triple H, and he stuffed him into the casket.
3 Daniel Bryan Vs. Kane - SmackDown (1/29/15)
Former WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane headlined SmackDown in a casket match. The Big Red Machine was no stranger to casket matches, and he dominated proceedings with power moves. Bryan upped the tempo to get things going his way.
Their battle was brilliant, and both had excellent chemistry together against each other. Ultimately, Bryan was victorious as he connected with the Running Knee with Kane locked inside the casket.
2 The Ortons Vs. The Undertaker - No Mercy 2005
Randy Orton and The Undertaker's feud dominated SmackDown in 2005. At No Mercy, Randy and his father "Cowboy" Bob faced The Undertaker in a handicap casket match. Cowboy Bob was past his prime here, but the Ortons worked as a cohesive unit.
This was an intense brawl and Undertaker managed to hit the Ortons with a steel chair. Undertaker almost prevailed but Cowboy Boy grabbed Undertaker's hair, and Randy nailed Undertaker in the head with a chair. The Ortons closed the casket for the win and set it ablaze afterward.
1 Shawn Michaels Vs. The Undertaker - Royal Rumble 1998
Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker's casket match for HBK's WWE Championship at the 1998 Royal Rumble is unquestionably the greatest casket match in WWE history. It also changed the course of history in Michaels' wrestling career as his back caught the back edge of the casket which led him to miss four years of action after WrestleMania 14.
Michaels was in an insurmountable amount of pain, but he soldiered on, and they still had an excellent contest. There was a magnificent spot, where Undertaker executed a jumping Tombstone on Michaels into the casket. However, outside interference from Kane aided Michaels in a successful WWE Championship title defense.
