The segment between Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens during Monday night’s episode of Raw should have put to rest any lingering doubts about Vince McMahon's continued control of the WWE product.McIntyre entered the ring and reminded the WWE Universe of his upcoming bout vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He continued by listing potential challengers he might face when he becomes champion, including Ciampa, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Karrion Kross.Related: Raw Winners and Losers: Owens, McIntyre, Ziggler And Theory Put On Great MatchesOwens would emerge during the promo to say he felt it was time to bring back the Prizefighter and that he had every champion on his radar, including the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion after Clash at the Castle, also pointing out he hasn't won a title at WWE in five years.Kevin Owens McIntyre rejected Owens' claim of him being the Chosen One, noting he was the Chosen One 15 years ago, ended up getting fired, and had to work his way back up to the top.He got in Owens' face and declared that he doesn’t care if the latter is a prizefighter, sports entertainer, or superstar. “We’re wrestlers in a wrestling ring, let’s just freakin’ wrestle,” he roared.

The pair would go on to put on an incredible match fit for a PPV, but it ended abruptly when The Usos jumped in to attack McIntyre, after which he was administered a Stunner by K.O. Owens told The Usos to let Roman Reigns know he owes him (Owens) one before leaving.

The Bloodline members stuck around in hopes of preying on the downed Scot, but he handled them with ease when he got back to his feet and sent them running with a warning to Reigns.

Reigns and McIntyre are set to go head-to-head for the Undisputed World Championship at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales on September 3.

Vince McMahon Must Surely Be Gone

The words “wrestler” and “wrestling” were both forbidden by McMahon at WWE and the fact that McIntyre belted them out in a single sentence highlights the company’s insistence on proving it’s entered a new era under Triple H’s creative leadership.

It was previously reported that The Game has lifted bans on multiple words on the list. Reigns voiced one shortly after the report surfaced.
