Darcey Silva Calls It Quits With Georgi Rusev

Darcey & Stacey's Darcey Silva decides to call it quits with Georgi Rusev. She doesn't regret the re-engagement but sees no chance for reconciliation.

Darcey & Stacey star Darcey Silva has called off her engagement to Georgi Rusev--again. The couple, who got re-engaged in the season finale of the show, had a tempestuous relationship and faced struggles related to finances, communication and Georgi's employment situation almost from the moment they decided to pursue a life together. Things took a turn for the worse, however, during the twins' trip to Turkey, when Darcey discovered that Georgi had been in touch with her ex, Jesse, to gather information. When the women got home, Darcey broke it off with Georgi and returned his ring.

That decision didn't last long. Much to the confusion and disappointment of her friends and family, Darcey decided that she was willing to work on their relationship. With that as the goal, Georgi joined the twins, Florian and Darcey's daughters on a trip to Miami, where they all participated in Miami Swim Week. During the trip, Georgi treated Darcey and her two daughters, Aspen and Aniko, to expensive boating trips that had Darcey questioning his rocky financial situation. Georgi admitted to charging the excursions on his credit cards and declared that it was worth the expense if it furthered family bonding. The trip culminated with Georgi's beachside proposal and presentation of a new engagement ring. Darcey said yes, and Aspen and Aniko approved.

As reported by ET, Darcey has once again called off the relationship and sees no future with Georgi.  She came to the conclusion that it was over, saying, "I took a stand because I felt like the relationship wasn't moving in the right direction, from that point of being engaged, which happened in the summer, mind you, the tell-all was in wintertime. So there had been some time, and communication still wasn't going well, there was a lot of things that just weren't where they should have been..."

The reality star, who had evoked her dad Mike's negative response after announcing her re-engagement, said that she doesn't regret the second proposal and was "living in the moment" when Georgi got down on one knee in Miami. Even though it didn't work out, she expressed approval of the new engagement ring and said that she was happy her daughters had experienced the moment with her. While acknowledging that she and Georgi still have love for each other, Darcey admitted that a reconciliation is unlikely.

Viewers of Darcey & Stacey are well aware of Darcey's dating history when it comes to her last three relationships and are happy that she is finally demanding better for herself. She has a history of accelerating relationships very quickly and pressuring her boyfriends to propose almost immediately. This has made Darcey appear indiscriminating and desperate at times. Darcey should consider taking a break from her goal of getting married and work on her self-esteem before jumping headfirst into another relationship. She should consider taking the lead from her daughters, who seem to be well-adjusted, smart and confident young women.
