He's had a legendary WWE career before finding major success in All Elite Wrestling, but Punk hasn't been immune from putting on a few stinkers.

10 World Heavyweight Title #1 Contender's Battle Royal - WWE SmackDown October 14th, 2011 (Rating: 5.63)

41 Man Battle Royal (SmackDown 10/14/2011)

The Battle Royal concept sounds fun, but most of the time, they are quite messy. The same was the case when we saw a 41-man match to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title in 2011.

Wrestlers from both brands competed in the match. CM Punk was eliminated from the match by The Miz. Sheamus had a pretty good performance, but the match was won by Randy Orton.

9 Vs. Max Caster - AEW Dynamite March 30th, 2022 (Rating: 5.62)

CM Punk cuts a post match promo

Most of CM Punk's matches in AEW have been pretty good. But, when he collided with Max Caster on Dynamite, it was a bit of a disappointing clash. It was the opening match of Dynamite.

The two wrestlers only got a little more than seven minutes to work the match. It was a pretty basic match, and quite forgettable. CM Punk obviously picked up the win to gain more momentum heading into his World Title match.

8 Vs. JBL - WWE Monday Night Raw August 25, 2008 (Rating: 5.52)

CM Punk vs. JBL on Raw

CM Punk and JBL had a very underwhelming feud in 2008 over the World Title. After their clash at SummerSlam, the two took on each other once again on the August 25 edition of Monday Night Raw.

This time, it was a non-title match. As expected, it wasn't really anything exciting. Just a standard match on Raw with nothing memorable. CM Punk won the match after hitting the Go To Sleep on JBL.

7 Royal Rumble Match - WWE Royal Rumble 2014 (Rating: 5.10)

The 2014 Royal Rumble Match was CM Punk's last match in WWE, and in fact, he only wrestled another match seven years after this. The match wasn't good though. CM Punk started the Rumble match at no. 1 with Seth Rollins.

Punk lasted very long in the match, and he was actually the Iron Man of the Rumble. He also eliminated three wrestlers, but he was eventually eliminated by Authority's Kane. Batista won the match by last eliminating Roman Reigns, which was a huge disappointment.

6 Vs. QT Marshall - AEW Dynamite November 24th, 2021 (Rating: 5.05)

This has to be CM Punk's worst match so far in AEW. It isn't outright bad, but it's very disappointing by CM Punk's standards. QT Marshall isn't a very good wrestler, and thus it was never going to be that good of a match.

The two men got more than 11 minutes, but they couldn't produce a memorable bout. The match felt quite slow, and the result was also very predictable. Punk obviously won the match by hitting the Go To Sleep on QT Marshall. The match should have been much shorter.

5 Vs. The Undertaker - WWE Hell In A Cell 2009 (Rating: 4.45)

For some reason, CM Punk has had multiple disappointing Hell in a Cell matches, and we'll see more Hell in a Cell matches in this list later. At the inaugural edition of the PPV, Punk defended his World Heavyweight Title against Undertaker inside the Cell.

The PPV had three Hell in a Cell matches, but this was easily the worst. It was pretty much one-way traffic, with Undertaker dominating. In the end, 'Taker executed the Tombstone Piledriver to win the match and the title. This match should never have taken place inside the Cell.

4 ECW World Title Extreme Elimination Chamber Match - ECW December To Dismember 2006 (Rating: 4.21)

December To Dismember Elimination Chamber 2006 Cropped

ECW December to Dismember 2006 is famous for being one of the worst PPVs ever produced by WWE. The main event of the show featured an Extreme Elimination Chamber match for the ECW World Title. The participants of the match were Bobby Lashley, Test, Rob Van Dam, Hardcore Holly, CM Punk, and the defending champion, The Big Show.

Even though the match was one of the better matches on the show, it was still not good. CM Punk had a very disappointing performance, as he was the first wrestler to be eliminated from the match. The winner was also disappointing, as ECW fans didn't like Bobby Lashley coming out on top.

3 Vs. Paul Heyman & Ryback - WWE Hell In A Cell 2013 (Rating: 3.67)

Paul Heyman & Ryback v CM Punk Hell in a Cell 2013 Cropped

CM Punk and Ryback collided inside Hell in a Cell twice, despite their rivalry being pretty bad. In 2013, the match also included Punk's former manager Paul Heyman, who wrestled alongside Ryback, making it a handicap match.

The match ended up being absolutely dreadful and is one of the worst Hell in a Cell matches ever. The storyline wasn't at all engaging, and the only thing that was satisfying in the match was when CM Punk got the better of Paul Heyman.

2 W/ Joe Mercury & Luke Gallows Vs. The Big Show - WWE SummerSlam 2010 (Rating: 3.54)

CM Punk kicks The Big Show

2010 was quite a bad year for CM Punk as he was constantly losing matches on PPV. One of those matches included his match at SummerSlam, where he teamed up with Straight Edge Society members, Joseph Mercury and Luke Gallows to take on The Big Show.

Despite three wrestlers ganging up on Big Show, Punk's team still couldn't prevail. The match was very bad, and in the end, The Big show hit the KO Punch on Gallows, and a Chokeslam on Mercury to win the contest. It toally buried the faction, and they lost any credibility they had.

1 Vs. Ryback - WWE Hell In A Cell 2012 (Rating: 2.57)

CM Punk vs Ryback Hell In A Cell 2012

Ryback had a solid run in 2012, with an undefeated streak. Due to his impressive victories and John Cena's injury, he got a WWE Title shot against CM Punk in the main event of the Hell in a Cell PPV, inside Hell in a Cell.

However, the match wasn't impressive at all and was a waste of the HIAC stipulation. It was an 11-minute contest, and it was just a bad match overall. The finish was terrible, where Brad Maddox made a fast count, and we saw the beginning of that awful storyline.
