The newest member of The Hurt Business, Cedric Alexander, has named two other WWE superstars who were in line to join the faction, claiming he did not know he was going to be the one until the night it actually happened.

The group has been expanding slowly while growing its brand with each passing week. Having started out with MVP and Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin joined ranks shortly after. Alexander became the fourth member earlier this month, turning on teammates Ricochet and Apollo Crews on the night.

Since joining the group, Alexander has really shown his stuff. Speaking to talkSPORT in a recent interview, the star discussed the move and revealed he wasn't told he would be making a switch until the very night. He added that it could have been either Ricochet or Apollo.

"Honestly, I never officially knew until the night it happened. It was always the case of ‘it would be cool if’ and it would be nice if this happened and I’d heard maybe it would be Ricochet or Apollo [Crews] – we just never knew," he explained.

"There was never a set plan until it was like ‘hey, you! You’re in the Hurt Business now.’ Ok, sweet [laughs]. Let’s do it. I’ll take that. It was ready I’m ready to cut this [promo]. I’ve been working on promos secretly myself for a few years now, but I’ve just never had the opportunity to speak. It’s been working out great. The last time I was nervous doing a promo was the first night I joined The Hurt Business.

"After that, everything was kicking. There’s small things I have to work on of course, but there’s never been a point where I’ve been like ‘I don’t know if I can do this!’ At some points, I’ll forget what I’m about to talk about, but then I’m there in the ring and I’m like ‘Oh, OK, I got this'."

Why They Aren't Going For The Tag Team Titles

Cedric also revealed the reason for The Hurt Business not challenging for the Tag Team titles, noting that, while they will steer focus towards the belts sometime in the future, they were looking to get Lashley to win the United States Championship first.
