Carmella Announces Her Engagement To Corey Graves, WWE Responds

WWE Superstar Carmella may not have gotten far in the Queen of the Ring tournament, but she has come up trumps when it comes to a different kind of ring as the former SmackDown Women's Champion revealed on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Carmella, whose real name is Leah Van Dale announced her engagement to Matthew Polinsky, better known as WWE commentator Corey Graves, revealing that he'd proposed to her on her birthday, with her saying that it was the 'Best birthday ever'.

Naturally the announcement received an outpouring of support from fans of the pair and their peers with notable names like NXT's Mandy Rose, former WWE star Aiden English and the newly crowned Queen of the Ring Zelina Vega offering their congratulations.

Even WWE themselves got in on the act of congratulating Graves and Carmella on their engagement by sharing another picture of the happy couple, presumably taken during the big moment

The pair are now set to be wed after first getting together in 2019 although there's no news yet on when the big day will be. Since they started dating they have appeared on Total Divas together as a couple for its ninth season and in 2020 they started a podcast together entitled Bare With Us.

Prior to starting their relationship, Carmella was dating former WWE Superstar Big Cass.

Carmella's Year In The Ring

2021 has been somewhat of an underwhelming year for Carmella in terms of in-ring success as she's spent most of the year feuding on-and-off with Liv Morgan, with neither WWE Superstar getting much, if anything, out of it.

Prior to her feud with Morgan, Carmella had three opportunities to win the SmackDown Women's Title from Bianca Belair, and lost them all. She was going to wrestle Belair again at SummerSlam but was attacked by Becky Lynch prior to the match.

In the recent WWE Draft, Carmella was drafted to Monday Night RAW.
