Benchmark not applicable to the target - Documentation for BMC Server Automation 8.2

This error message indicates a mismatch between the selected benchmark and a selected server.

Each Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) benchmark is intended for a specific operating system, as described in the Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) definition associated with the benchmark. If an SCAP Compliance Job includes a target server with a different OS, the job log reports the mismatch as an error.

To research names of mismatched targets

1. In the Jobs folder, right-click the SCAP Compliance Job and select Show Results.
2. Right-click the Job run and select Show Log.
3. Scroll down in the Message panel, looking for errors. Errors are marked with a red X.
4. Look for the following message. Note that the server name appears at the end of the message. A separate message appears for each server that does not match the benchmark's CPE definition.
