It has been rumored so heavily for the last few weeks that AEW would be getting a brand new weekly show called Collision, the promotion hadn't actually officially revealed its plans until now. Warner Bros. Discovery's upfront presentation took place this morning, during which the first official details about Collision were confirmed.
Collision Debuts On June 17
As expected, AEW's new weekly show will be called Collision and it will air live on Saturday nights. A bold move as live wrestling outside of PPVs and PLEs hasn't been a staple of Saturday nights for a long time. There's a rich history for wrestling on that night of the week though with some of WWE's biggest moments, and its most viewed show ever, going down via Saturday Night's Main Event.

The very first episode of Collision will air at 8 pm EST on Saturday, June 17, 2023, and the show will take place at that time every Saturday for two hours, like Dynamite, from that date onwards. Collision will call TNT home while Dynamite will seemingly remain on TBS. As for who we're going to see on Collision, the stars listed imply that AEW may undergo a soft roster split before its debut are true.
Who Will Be On Collision?
While the likes of AEW Champion MJF and International Champion Orange Cassidy are on the poster, neither of them is listed in the stars AEW has advertised as being a part of the show. Yes, the list is clearly a preview of what Collision's roster is going to be, but you'd think the company's champion would be first on the list. The lack of mention for MJF may well mean he and other champions will be free to appear on Dynamite and Collision while they have titles.
As for who has been advertised for Collision, most of them lean into the rumors the new show will revolve around CM Punk. Samoa Joe, who Punk is rumored to be feuding with when he returns, and The House of Black. Brody King is close with The Second City Saint. Miro and Thunder Rosa are also listed, leaning into the belief their returns last week, which revolved around mysterious visits to Tony Khan's office, were putting the pieces in place for them being Collision-exclusive stars.
