Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan to share screen for the first time in a pan Indian movie

Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan are set to star together for the first time in an upcoming pan-India project, as announced by Adivi on his social media using the hashtag #SeshExShruti, much to the excitement of fans. Although the film's title is yet to be disclosed, it marks Adivi's second venture into Hindi cinema following his impactful role in the successful 2022 film Major, where he portrayed the late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. 


Renowned director of photography Shaneil Deo, known for his work in Telugu films such as Kshanam and Goodachari featuring Adivi as the lead, makes his directorial debut with this project. A U.S.-born director, Shaneil previously showcased his talent with the coming-of-age short film Layla, an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival. Both Shaneil and Adivi will be credited for the story and screenplay. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and presented by Annapurna Studios, Suniel Narang joins as the co-producer.

The filmmakers are gearing up to unveil updates about the film in the forthcoming days, including character posters and the official title, offering audiences a glimpse into the movie's essence. This untitled project will be simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, ensuring every frame, dialogue, and scene is captured in both languages while respecting the cultural nuances of each.

Adivi has multiple projects in the pipeline, having commenced filming for G2 in Hyderabad on a specially constructed set featuring five floors of glass. The movie, which also stars Banita Sandhu, marks his latest venture since HIT 2. Meanwhile, Shruti is set to appear in Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire and an international project titled The Eye.
