This week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown was lackluster. There were certainly positives, like a great match, a couple of top-notch segments and the women got plenty of screen time. However, overall it was a boring and bland episode.RELATED: 10 Recent Times WWE Wrestlers Were Written Off TV (& Why)The best part of the show was, once again, The Bloodline and Sami Zayn storyline. Paul Heyman, The Usos, and Sami did a great job and carried the episode. On the other hand, Madcap Moss won the biggest match of his career so far, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez teamed up, and much more. Without further ado, here are nine things fans need to know about this week's WWE SmackDown.

10 Sami Zayn Said The Bloodline Is Over

This week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown began with Paul Heyman cutting a promo. On Monday Night Raw, Heyman had a segment with Cody Rhodes, and now it was Sami Zayn's turn. The Wiseman said there was no chance of Sami Zayn being the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, as he didn't even take him seriously.

However, Zayn showed up and said that The Bloodline is about to fall, that Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa would be gone too, and that Roman Reigns doesn't have to worry about Cody Rhodes, because he was the one who was going to defeat him.

9 Sheamus & Drew McIntyre Defeated Hit Row

This Friday, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre faced off against Hit Row. It was a fleeting match, as it lasted less than three minutes. Sheamus and McIntyre won without breaking a sweat, gaining momentum, while Hit Row continues to be a bad joke.

After the match, the Viking Riders appeared on the screen to warn Drew McIntyre and Sheamus about what will happen next week.

8 Lacey Evans Defeated Carmen Haress

Lacey Evans faced off against a jobber, who turned out to be Carmen Haress, who works in independent promotions such as Major League Wrestling and Beyond Wrestling.

Evans showed no mercy and defeated Haress in a couple of minutes, applying the Cobra Clutch to force his opponent to submit. Haress tapped out, but Evans didn't let her go until she passed out.

7 The Usos Retained The SmackDown Tag Team Titles

It looked like Jimmy Uso was going to defend the SmackDown Tag Team Titles alone, but Jey Uso didn't abandon his brother and showed up for the match.

It was a great bout, the fans even chanted "This is awesome" and were invested from start to finish, and it should also be mentioned that it looked like they were rooting for the Usos. The in-ring action was solid, Ricochet stole the show with his high-flying moves, Strowman showed his strength, and the Usos showed their unique chemistry to win the match and retain the titles.

6 Sami Zayn Acknowledges Jey Uso

Sami Zayn and Jey Uso met outside the arena, and Sami told him that he understood that he was going through a very difficult time and that he appreciated what he did at Royal Rumble 2023.

Also, Zayn said that at Elimination Chamber what Jey has wanted for a long time is going to happen; Roman Reigns will go down, but Sami told Jey that he doesn't have to go down with the ship. Finally, Sami told Jey that he acknowledges him.

5 Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler Attacked Natalya

Natalya took the mic to talk about Shayna Baszler, saying that she got revenge on her by taking her spot in the Elimination Chamber match and called her a knock-off version of Ronda Rousey.

Baszler and Ronda Rousey then came to the ring and attacked Natalya. Shotzi showed up to try to save the day but failed, and Ronda and Shayna punished both Shotzi and Natalya.

4 Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez Defeated Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville

3 Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville were demanding opportunities from Adam Pearce, so the latter booked a tag team match in which Green and Deville would face off against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. It was a mediocre match, although it did have a couple of comedic moments due to Sonya and Chelsea making a terrible team. Liv and Raquel, on the other hand, combined their moves well and won the match without major issues.

2 Madcap Moss Earned An Intercontinental Title Shot

In the main event of this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Madcap Moss, Karrion Kross, Santos Escobar, and Rey Mysterio collided in a Fatal Four-Way match for an Intercontinental title shot. It was an entertaining match, but nothing memorable. The spots were basic and there were a couple of sloppy sequences.

Every man had his moment of dominance, but in the end, it was Madcap Moss who prevailed, the biggest win of his career, by the way. The outcome was unpredictable, as of the four competitors Madcap Moss was the least likely winner.

1 Roman Reigns Want The Usos To Stay Home Next Week

In the final segment of the episode, Paul Heyman told Jimmy Uso that he had just talked to Roman Reigns. Heyman said The Tribal Chief was happy about the successful title defense but demanded that next week the Usos stay home and watch the show on TV. "Sometimes you see things on TV, that you don't see when you're here live," Heyman said.

That last sentence was very interesting, but in reality, this is a way of writing The Usos off TV, as they are supposedly not allowed to enter Canada for DUI, specifically Jimmy.
