Heading into the women's Royal Rumble match this year, there are plenty of legitimate contenders who could easily end up winning the match. It has set up this year's bout to be a very unpredictable one, as there are lots of viable options as to who could possibly walk away with a title shot at WrestleMania.

However, while there are some women that fans would love to see win the match, there are plenty that people would like to not win it as well. With such a wide variety of talents and potential storylines to work with, the options are endless, but for such a big match it's important the right choice is made.

10 Should Win: Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss Firefly

Alexa Bliss is one of the most intriguing characters in WWE right now, with her work alongside The Fiend being incredibly interesting. Because of that, she should absolutely be a contender to win the Royal Rumble this year.

It's been a long time since Bliss was involved in the title scene, which would make her a fresh face in that spot, which is always a bonus. Plus, there's a wide variety of storylines to go down with this character, and her excellent work deserves a big WrestleMania reward.

9 Shouldn't Win: Charlotte Flair

WWE

Heading into this show, Charlotte Flair is already the Women's Tag Team Champion, and it would be nice if WWE put some real focus onto those titles for a change. Therefore, there isn't really any need for Flair to win the Royal Rumble match.

Fans often complain that Flair is always the central focus of the women's division, and having her win this match for a second year in a row wouldn't help that situation. Flair will no doubt have a big role to play at WrestleMania, but WWE should tell a different story to get her there.

8 Should Win: Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler Royal Rumble 2020

Shayna Baszler really should have won the Royal Rumble in 2020 on her main roster debut, as it would've made a much bigger impact. However, WWE could fix that issue in 2021 by having her win it this time around.

While her booking hasn't always been perfect, Baszler has managed to be very dominant throughout the year and that leads to her still being a threat. Making her the champion at WrestleMania could set her on a path to control the women's division as she did so well in NXT, which would be brilliant.

7 Shouldn't Win: Nia Jax

NIa Jax

Her tag team partner might be a great option to win the Royal Rumble, but Nia Jax is someone who fans don't want to see win the match. While Jax is obviously heading into the bout as a favorite as she's a major star on Raw, this should be one to avoid.

Jax's in-ring ability still needs to be polished and making her the central focus heading into WrestleMania wouldn't help that. Fans currently aren't that interested in her character either, which isn't what WWE wants for its Royal Rumble winner.

6 Should Win: Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey

It's not clear if Ronda Rousey is going to be returning to WWE, but if she is, the Royal Rumble would be an amazing place to bring her back. If Ronda was to pop out at the Rumble, then there's no doubt that she would go on to win the match.

Even if her run was just a brief one until WrestleMania, it would be a huge boost to the women's division and to WrestleMania in general. There was always the feeling that she left with people still wanting more, and hopefully, she can return to deliver that this year.

5 Shouldn't Win: Lana

Lana WWE

Lana hasn't been seen on television for a while now after she was written off during her storyline with Nia Jax. However, the Royal Rumble is a spot where she could easily be brought back, and considering her push earlier in 2020, WWE could easily go all the way with her.

Lana is a big star and someone that fans love to see, but she simply isn't good enough inside the ring to be given this spot. Having her come out and eliminate Nia Jax to get some revenge would be a great moment in the match, but winning the whole thing would not be.

4 Should Win: Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley

While Rhea Ripley isn't announced for the Royal Rumble, this is the right time to debut her on the main roster, officially, and winning the Rumble would certainly make fans stand up and take notice of her.

Ripley is a massive star and she has excelled in NXT so far. However, now is the time to take the next step with her, and Rhea should be treated like a major threat from the start, which is why winning the Rumble is the way to go for her.

3 Shouldn't Win: Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans

WWE is currently getting behind Lacey Evans, pairing her with Ric Flair, and she is someone that creative is clearly a fan of. However, now isn't the right time to give her this major victory, even with the Nature Boy by her side.

Lacey is certainly a very talented wrestler and her character is one that works. However, she's just not quite ready to make that step up into the main event scene, with Evans being someone for the future.

2 Should Win: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair is one of the most exciting wrestlers on the roster right now and someone who has a huge upside. Her in-ring ability is incredible and her charisma is off the charts, and WWE should be strapping a rocket to her heading into WrestleMania season.

Last year she dominated inside the Rumble, and this year WWE should go one step further and have her win the match. A title match with Sasha Banks at WrestleMania could be a show-stealing match, and winning the Rumble could set that up.

1 Shouldn't Win: Bayley

WWE

Bayley was arguably the best wrestler in the entire company in 2020, and because of that, it's clear she's an option to win the Royal Rumble. Possibly winning to set up a match with Sasha Banks at WrestleMania would certainly be interesting, and there's no doubt it would lead to a great match.

However, WWE spent a long time in 2020 telling the story between them, and it feels like everything was resolved with nothing left to do there. Because of that, it would make more sense for Bayley not to win the Rumble this time around.
