Edge has now arrived in AEW, joining the company and debuting at the WrestleDream PPV. After the company previously approached him back in 2019 for a return to the ring, he is now finally fulfilling that prophecy in joining Tony Khan’s company following the expiration of his WWE contract. When it comes to Edge in AEW, there are certain things that fans would both love to see from him in the company and things that fans would rather not see at all.

There were lessons to learn from his comeback stint in WWE that those in AEW can learn from to maximize the potential of Edge in the promotion. He may now be wrestling under the name of "Adam Copeland", but he will be as good as he's ever been.
10 We Want To See: Dream Match With Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega is a dream match for almost anyone coming into AEW, and for Edge, it would be one of the biggest possible matches available for him. Back in 2017, Kenny Omega even appeared on Edge & Christian’s podcast, with Edge crediting Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada for getting him back to watching wrestling.
It will be a match that Edge wants, and it is a match that fans no doubt want too. Not much of a storyline will even be needed for this special encounter.
9 We Don’t Want To See: Brood Edge
Edge’s time in WWE was up and down, but much of the down moments came when he tried to be overly spooky or dark, harkening back to his days in The Brood as “Brood Edge”.
It was hard to take him seriously, and he just looked like an old man trying to be cool. Edge needs to veer away from The Brood stuff to remain hot and legit, as it just didn’t work out in WWE.
8 We Want To See: Fairytale World Title Win
Although Edge probably didn’t care too much given that all he wanted to do was wrestle again, many fans were disappointed that Edge never got his fairytale world title win in WWE, after him previously retiring as World Heavyweight Champion.
In AEW, there are arguments for and against a world title win for Edge, but even just a short reign for him to finally get that fairytale moment would 100% be worth it. It would get another iconic name on the AEW World Championship to further raise its stock too.
7 We Don’t Want To See: Feud With Chris Jericho
Edge and Chris Jericho have a history, and a feud would be easy to build for sure, but fans don’t want to see this rivalry again. It wouldn’t be as good given their respective ages, and if Edge only has so many feuds left, wasting one on Jericho would be unwise.

There are so many names like Omega, MJF, Jay White, Jon Moxley, Ricky Starks, and several more which have never been seen before which would be far better than revisiting the past.
6 We Want To See: Teaming With Sting & Darby Allin
Edge's AEW debut saw him save Sting & Darby Allin from a post-match attack from Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne, and seeing Edge in the ring with these two men was a complete clash of generations.
This is a short-term want, but seeing Edge team with Sting & Darby Allin is something fans want to see. Three huge stars from different generations teaming up with be a special sight for sure.
5 We Don’t Want To See: Fitting In With The AEW Style
AEW’s in-ring style is more hard-hitting, physical, and intense, but if Edge wants to maximize the years he has left, he should continue wrestling like himself. The likes of Chris Jericho and Christian Cage wrestle a slower and more classic style, and it works, and Edge should do the same.
Of course, there are times to bring out big moves and AEW-esque moments, but he should wrestle in his own style for sure or risk a big injury and short run.
4 We Want To See: Tag Team Reunion With Christian
Although Edge debuted across the ring from Christian Cage, with the pair set to feud in AEW, an eventual reunion with his former tag team partner is something fans want to see.
Unlike many other tag teams, it isn’t a reunion that has been done to death, and in fact it has been very rare to see Edge & Christian in the same ring ever since their breakup many years ago. A tag team run would be great to see.
3 We Don’t Want To See: Worked Shoot Promos
Many names who have walked into AEW from WWE have dished out disrespect to their old home - Miro, CM Punk, Saraya, and Chris Jericho to name but a few. Edge shouldn’t follow suit.
It is easy to get cheers and for a cheap pop, but Edge left WWE on very good terms, and if he falls into this same trap, it would make him look poor.
2 We Want To See: The Rated-R Superstar
Edge's arrival brought about a huge ovation, which was expected, and going forward he will no doubt get cheers and be treated like a babyface no matter what he does. For a time, this would be the correct thing to do too. However, Edge has always been better as a heel, though when he recently turned in WWE in 2022 with the Judgment Day, it didn’t work.

Edge needs to go back to what he does best - being the Rated-R Superstar, or at least a variation of that character. He is a little old for public displays in the ring, but his sneaky, conniving, cowardly persona needs to return.
1 We Don’t Want To See: Match With The Hardys
Edge & Christian vs. The Hardys is something Tony Khan might not be able to resist booking. However, it isn’t something fans want to see.
The Hardys in particular are slowly becoming parodies of their former selves, and it could result in the four looking very bad and old if the match goes badly. It simply isn’t worth the risk.
