When it comes to becoming a major star in professional wrestling, having an eye-catching look and physique can go a long way. Even in the likes of AEW, in which in-ring talent is taken more seriously and as more of an important aspect, if someone walks out with a great body they have eyes drawn to them.

In the women’s division there are plenty of those who have eye-catching physiques, and there are those who look very average. This isn’t to say that they are better or worse than one another, with some of the more “average” looking wrestlers being among the best in terms of in-ring talent and charisma.

10 Eye-Catching Physique: Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander is an insanely talented wrestler, and with her talents comes a larger and more imposing frame than most on the roster. She is tall, muscular, and has a lot of power in her moveset which stems from her size.

Statlander has been riddled with injuries during her AEW career, but fans have always considered her as someone who can be a star due to her impressive look alone. Her recent comeback in 2023 has seen her become the brand new AEW TBS Championship.

9 Looks Average: Julia Hart

Julia Hart, in direct contrast to the aforementioned Kris Statlander, is one of the smallest wrestlers on the AEW women’s roster. She is slim, has a small frame, and doesn’t stand out when compared to many others in terms of her physique alone.

Where Hart does stand out though is her character work, throwing herself all into the role she’s been given in the House of Black faction. Her style of in-ring work is something she has worked well on, managing to overcome her smaller size to create a strong and dominant aura.

8 Eye-Catching Physique: Athena

The current reigning ROH Women’s World Champion Athena may be small in height, but she is built and stocky, which makes her stand out with an eye-catching physique.

She looks like someone who could beat up anyone with her build, and there is little question as to why she has been picked to lead the ROH women’s division due to her being insanely talented and looking dominant.

7 Looks Average: Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa has had some of the best women’s matches in AEW history and has established herself as one of the best female in-ring talents in the world throughout her career, but she doesn’t have an eye-catching physique by any means.

The moment Jamie Hayter arrived on AEW programming following her signature with the company, she stood out immediately. Hayter has a large, muscular physique which is very eye-catching.

This works well with Hayter’s powerhouse and hard-hitting style inside the ring, which makes her look like a dominant and strong competitor. This has seen her lead the division as the AEW Women’s World Champion, only getting cut short due to an ill-timed injury.

5 Looks Average: Hikaru Shida

Hikaru Shida is one of just two women who have been a multi-time AEW Women’s World Champion, and that is due to her being one of the best in-ring performers in the promotion.

However, Shida is someone who has quite an average looking physique, not really standing out from the crowd too much compared to some of the others up and down the roster.

4 Eye-Catching Physique: Marina Shafir

Marina Shafir is one of the most toned and chiseled members of the AEW women’s division. However, this is an example of looks not necessarily equating success.

Shafir is someone who is quite unique in the ring with a strong build, but she has failed to get fans interested in her at all. You can hear a pin drop when she walks out. Partly this is bad booking, and another is her not maximizing her minutes when she does get them.

Though it took her a while to get going in AEW, Ruby Soho is now one of the more featured wrestlers in the women’s division today due to her participation in The Outcasts faction alongside Toni Storm and Saraya.

Soho though doesn’t have a physique that stands out in truth, looking fairly average compared to everyone else on the roster. She makes up for this with great in-ring ability and being underrated on the mic too, with her not getting enough chances to showcase her talents.

2 Eye-Catching Physique: Jade Cargill

There is no one else on AEW’s roster who quite has the presence of Jade Cargill. Her physique is the most eye-catching perhaps in professional wrestling today, with not many people coming close to her in terms of that.

With a muscular physique, height, and more, Cargill looks like a star, and this led to her being booked as an undefeated TBS Champion before she was arguably ready for the spotlight from an in-ring perspective.

1 Looks Average: Serena Deeb

Serena Deeb isn’t as built as many on the roster, with her being much slimmer and smaller in stature, but she may be the most naturally gifted technical performer on the roster.

Deeb is cut from the same cloth as the likes of Bryan Danielson, being able to pull a good match out of anyone and everyone without needing an eye-catching physique. It is a shame that Deeb hasn’t been given a whole load of time in recent months on AEW programming, with her being the perfect candidate to hold a title as an experienced and polished veteran.
