- It seems like wrestlers are pushing their careers as long as they possibly can. This is no more clear than Nature Boy Ric Flair having his "final match" in 2022 at the age of 73. However, looking at younger stars, and many of the wrestlers on the scene now have plans to leave wrestling for other forms of work much earlier, while their health remains intact. Many wrestlers head to Hollywood, with The Rock, John Cena, and Batista as good examples. Others seem ready to transition into other forms of making money, with Xavier Woods, Adam Cole, and Kenny Omega all making sure they have what they need in place for when they step away from the ring. Still, it is always fun to learn that wrestlers who used to entertain millions on TV every week now have normal, everyday jobs in the real world.
Certain wrestlers can be successful enough that they can simply ride off into the sunset after they have finished, not worrying about the financial side of life after they're done. However, not everybody can dominate the main event scene in WWE throughout their careers.
This leads to many wrestlers having to continue working in some form after they have retired from the business. For many, that involves professional wrestling in some capacity, as it's what they know and love. But that isn't the case for everybody, as there are plenty of talents who have undertaken relatively normal jobs instead.
