With how many players are actively playing in the NFL, there is bound to be more than a few that have drawn the ire of fans around the world. What makes a player hated can come down to a lot of different things. Maybe a player made some poor decisions in their personal life that changed how fans viewed them.

Sometimes, all a player needs to do to become hated is simply leave a team. The absolute worst is when a player is simply too good, and that seems to be the only reason fans hate them. Regardless of the reasons, there are a handful of NFL players that fans just can't help hating.
10 Ndamukong Suh
One of the best and scariest defensive tackles any team could have is named Ndamukong Suh. He's a one-time Super Bowl Champion, and an absolute asset each and every time he takes the field. That said, there is one small issue with Suh's game.
He has been known to be a brutal and somewhat dirty player. He turned a lot of people off early in his career thanks to how many fines he picked up. He actually set a league record for the many fines he would rack up over the course of his career.
9 Kareem Hunt
Anyone who knows who Kareem Hunt is will already know exactly why he's one of the most hated players in the NFL. He was caught on camera during a serious transgression that ultimately resulted in him being booted off of the Chiefs.
Basically, a video was released of Hunt kicking a woman while in a hotel. Most people agree that regardless of the situation prior, resorting to violence against someone in the way Hunt did is literally never the answer. It's an event that continues to haunt his career.
8 Deshaun Watson
Another player that had the skill to be one of the best was also plagued by horrible personal decisions. Some of the alleged decisions he's made over his career have led to most NFL fans turning their backs on Watson.

His troubles have been fairly widely reported, as such, many people know about him being accused of serious crimes like sexual assault and misconduct. Accusations are just that, but as the accusations stack up against Watson, many fans have moved on to other stars.
7 Jalen Ramsey
Ramsey is almost too good of a player to garner hate from the biggest Rams supporters, but even some of them have had it with him. He's good and he knows it, something that has led to more than one occasion in which Ramsey shares his opinions on other players.
People watched his issues with the coach of the Jaguars and figured that Ramsey had a serious attitude problem, something he's only helped solidify. Many think he's a fantastic player, but that he's just too full of himself for his own good.
6 Josh Norman
Most people just seem to hate Norman because he's both a skilled player and willing to say exactly what he thinks of other players. He's not above letting everyone he doesn't like know exactly why he thinks they're the worst, something that some don't like.
Of course, anyone who trash-talks long enough is bound to trash-talk some players with dedicated fan bases. Add all that up, and you`ve got one player getting hate from every corner of the NFL fanbase. Norman certainly is hated, but not always in a way that's fair.
5 Ezekiel Elliott
For whatever reason, if NFL fans love a team that isn't the Dallas Cowboys, you can bet that they probably hate the Dallas Cowboys. Elliott has been a core member of the team for quite a while now, but that hasn't even kept him safe from hometown hate.
The issue is that a single accusation of misconduct is something that can derail an athlete's career, and the NFL adding a suspension after accusations of misconduct arose only made Elliott look worse. That single act just gave everyone more fuel to hate on the Cowboys.
4 Richard Sherman
It's important to acknowledge that while self-confidence is certainly important in any sport, Sherman might have a bit too much self-confidence. He was a pretty bold speaker in his career, leading to many disliking him, but things got worse recently.
Whether or not he will even continue with the NFL is kind of up in the air at this point as his recent actions have gotten him in a lot of hot water. He hasn't officially retired from play, but it's possible the skilled player may never take the field again.
3 Odell Beckham Jr.
Most of the time, when a football player appears in the news outside the playoffs, it's not for a good reason. Odell Beckham Jr. is a name that many people hear in the news all the time and that's because he can be a bit short-tempered.

Odell has had his fair share of bizarre behavioral instances, something that fans and journalists alike have organized into different timelines. Since most fans want to focus on the sport, they view Beckham as a bit of a setback for whatever team he's on regardless of how good he is.
2 Tyreek Hill
It's not a stretch to say that Tyreek Hill is an asset in every game he plays, but most fans hate to see him take the field, even if he is playing for them. The issue is that Hill is absolutely no stranger to making poor decisions.
He was booted off one team after a domestic assault arrest (something he pleaded guilty to), and much later he was investigated for child abuse. Most fans don't care about the outcome of those investigations. They simply hear the accusation and don't wish to cheer them on.
1 Aaron Rodgers
The hate around Aaron Rodgers is something that confuses a lot of people. He is inarguably one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, his stats speak for him, but fans still harbor a lot of hate and trade wishes for the Packers mainstay.
People claim that Rodgers is a poor leader, a whiner, and that he's one of the most egotistical players on the field. It's possible that he's bought into his own hype, and that is the very thing that has created issues not only amongst fans but also apparently other players.
