Professional wrestling is an industry where the art of portraying a character matters more than anything. A Superstar can be agile and proficient as a performer but without a good character and charisma, they are not likely to get over and engage with the fans.

While fans see babyfaces and heels in storylines, another important quality is the sense of humor. To make segments interesting and fun, it is essential to have good comic timing. Whether main event level stars or mid-carders, there have been many such wrestlers with amazing comic timing. They are more than competent in making fans, as well as other wrestlers, die with laughter.

8 Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is someone who has experimented with different characters throughout his career. From 'Raw is Jericho' to holding the list, Jericho has constantly changed his gimmick. Even today in AEW, he is consistently reinventing himself.

In the Attitude Era, Jericho delivered many hilarious skits. The taunts at Stephanie McMahon made him a fan favorite. Whether as a heel or babyface, Y2J produced many segments that made other wrestlers laugh.

7 Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle won the Olympic gold with a broken freaking neck, and he was certainly one of the most gifted men to grace a WWE ring. But besides being adept in the ring, his comic sense was equally good, allowing him to deliver many memorable segments, especially in the Ruthless Aggression Era.

Guys like Brock Lesnar, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Edge, and many more were seen laughing while having segments with the Olympic Gold medalist. And fans can never forget the hilarious rap battle with John Cena.

6 John Cena

Given John Cena has been the main event guy for the majority of his career with a serious babyface character, he certainly doesn't get enough credit for his sense of humor. With his impeccable mic skills, he can hype a feud, and he can also make fun of his opponents.

Back when Cena was Doctor of Thuganomics, he made his fellow wrestlers laugh with his unusual raps. Even the good guy Cena did it a couple of times. For example, he made The Great Khali chuckle when he attempted to speak Hindi in a backstage segment. He is also genuinely funny outside the ring, which is evident in various talk shows.

5 Vickie Guerrero

Let's be honest, there were not many people whether backstage or in the arena who didn't laugh hearing Vickie Guerrero's catchphrase, 'Excuse Me!'. Even though as a General Manager she tried to be serious at times, her whole persona made others laugh.

The New Day's success has made them a household name and certainly one of the popular stables in WWE history. Forming back in 2014, the team of Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston have achieved a lot. The group has won the Tag Team Titles a record eleven times. But they have gotten over because of their ability to make others laugh, including fellow wrestlers and opponents.

Given the history of New Day's funny moments, they have too many to choose from since the formation of this stable. Their unerring chemistry together has helped to them excel as a group. They would throw pancakes or Booty Os while entering the ring, make ridiculous faces on live TV and wear Unicorn horns. Xavier Woods would use his trademark trombone, and Big E would roll on the floor during the entrance. Even though The New Day are separated right now, Big E still maintains his New Day persona, and he is shinning as a singles star on SmackDown. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are doing well in the Tag Team division of the red brand.

3 Santino Marella

He appeared as Santino's twin sister 'Santina' at WrestleMania 25 and won the 'Miss WrestleMania' crown. His rap on an episode of Raw in 2008 not only made the other wrestlers laugh but also Akon, the singer, who was attending the show as a fan. His 'cobra' was the best part of his character.

2 R-Truth

Currently, R-Truth is arguably the man who makes most people and other wrestlers laugh in WWE. The multi-time 24/7 Champion has been involved in many comedic segments over the years.

R-Truth brought a ladder in a Royal Rumble match and even climbed the ladder, thinking it was a Money in the Bank match. He told General Manager Kane how he would win the Money in the Bank match, but Kane told him that he wasn't even the match. Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler, who were in the ring, couldn't stop their laughter during this segment. Even Brock Lesnar busted out laughing when R-Truth shared the ring with The Beast Incarnate on Raw.

1 The Rock

The Rock 2001

The Rock was one of the big reasons the Attitude Era was the best era in WWE history, and his comic timing certainly played a pivotal role in making him a star. From the catchphrases to imitating other wrestlers, every segment of The Rock was gold back in the day.

He not only made interviewers like Michael Cole and Lilian Garcia laugh with his promos but also did the same to fellow wrestlers, even while having a serious feud. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon couldn't help but smirk when The Rock perfectly emulated The Game. The Great One's insults through songs during 'The Rock Concerts' were simply unmatched.
