10 Secrets & Easter Eggs You May Have Missed In WWE 2K22

Since the release of WWE 2K22, wrestling video game fans have been able to let out a sigh of relief for finally having a new wrestling video game that works. Following the disastrous WWE 2K20, this year’s game has included improved graphics and gameplay to give wrestling fans an enjoyable gaming experience.

To the delight of some players, and for some frustration, WWE 2K22 is filled with secrets and Easter eggs to be found throughout the various game modes featured in the game. Whether it is secret characters, secret moves, or secret arenas, there is plenty of hidden content throughout WWE’s newest video game.

10 Eddie Guerrero Unmasks Rey Mysterio

WWE 2K22 cover star Rey Mysterio has an entire game mode dedicated to his legendary wrestling career.

In Showcase mode, you play various matches from Rey Mysterio’s career. One of his most legendary matches took place at WCW’s Halloween Havoc in 1997. On this night, Mysterio put his mask on the line in a match for Eddie Guerrero’s cruiserweight title. Mysterio won the match, kept his mask, and took the title. In the game, you play as Mysterio and you must beat Guerrero the same way he did in real life. However, if you fail to beat Guerrero, a cutscene plays where Mysterio loses his mask since he failed to win the title.

9 Dominik Dijakovic

MyRise is a game mode in WWE 2K22 where you create a wrestler and play as them as they attempt to rise to the top of the WWE.

In this game mode, players can find hidden characters not included in other game modes in WWE 2K22. One of these characters is Dominik Dijakovic. While players can play as T-Bar in other modes, Dijakovic is only available in MyRise. For some players, it is exciting to find hidden characters, but for others, it is frustrating you cannot use Dijakovic in other games modes such as Universe Mode.

8 Modern Shawn Michaels

In MyRise, there is a modern version of “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. Depending on how your career plays out, you may find yourself in a fight against an aging Michaels.

Michaels is not an available character at the start of the game. A 2005 version of HBK can be unlocked by defeating Michaels in Rey Mysterio’s Showcase mode. That version of Michaels is the only one playable throughout the game. The modern version of Michaels, as well as older versions of Michaels that are available in MyFaction, cannot be played in other game modes.

7 Nikki Cross

MyFaction is a game mode where players unlock characters and build their own stables. This mode is filled with hidden characters that cannot be used throughout the game.

One of these characters is a 2020 version of Nikki Cross. In WWE 2K22, Cross is in the game under her current persona, Nikki A.S.H. The only version of Cross in previous WWE games was her persona as part of the Sanity stable. If you want to play as the version of Cross that won the women’s tag titles with Alexa Bliss, you will have to play MyFaction.

6 Modern Day Road Dogg

Oh, you didn’t know? There is a modern version of Road Dogg that can be seen in MyRise, similar to Shawn Michaels.

In WWE 2K22, players can play as Road Dogg from over 20 years ago when he was a member of D-Generation X. In MyRise, Road Dogg is a coach at the WWE Performance Center. Depending on how your career plays out, you may find yourself in a fight with a modern-day Road Dogg.

5 Japan Hall

Korakuen Hall is one of the most iconic wrestling venues in Japan. This intimate venue has hosted every key promotion in Japan for several decades.

In MyRise, players have the opportunity to compete outside the WWE. This journey may take players to independent wrestling promotions in the U.S, for some they can find themselves competing in Mexico, and others may even find themselves fighting in a Japanese venue that is similar to Korakuen Hall. The arena is called Japan Hall and is only playable in MyRise.

4 ThunderDome Fans

The Covid-19 global pandemic was a unique time for everyone. For wrestling fans, it was a bizarre time when shows did not have fans in attendance.

WWE dealt with this issue by having fans attend the shows virtually. Through hundreds of video screens, fans could be seen watching shows from the comfort of their home. The developers at 2K decided to add this scene to the game. While the WWE ThunderDome is an arena that can be selected throughout the game. In Universe Mode, you can choose between an actual audience or virtual fans at many pay-per-view arenas.

3 The Godfather

MyFaction features many legendary wrestlers that can be unlocked in the game mode. One of these wrestlers is the legendary Godfather.

The Godfather was last seen in WWE 2K19. While his other persona, Papa Shango, is playable in WWE 2K22, The Godfather can only be found in MyFaction and cannot be played throughout the game. To the disappointment of some fans, The Godfather makes his entrance all by himself and is not accompanied by lovely ladies.

2 Hidden Entrances

Similar to WWE games in the past, the game is filled with entrances from wrestlers outside the WWE that can be used for created wrestlers.

The community creations option in WWE 2K22 allows players to download created wrestlers made by other players. Some of these creators are very talented and can make wrestlers look just as good as the ones in the game. Along with some entrances being already in the game, it is almost as if the wrestler is truly in the game. Some wrestlers outside the WWE that have preset entrances include Brian Cage, Kenny Omega, Chris Sabin, Britt Baker, Jessicka Havok, Jay Lethal, and many others.

1 Hidden WrestleMania

In MyRise there is a hidden WrestleMania arena that is only available in the game mode. The stage is not based on any other previous WrestleMania. It is unique to players who make it to the grandest stage in all of WWE.

The stage is designed well and would fit perfectly for a real WrestleMania in the future. This WrestleMania takes place in an outdoor arena which only adds to the overall presentation. Unfortunately, the arena can only be seen in MyRise and can not be used in Universe Mode when creating your own WrestleMania event.
